And than the etherium in 2018 differs from any other altcoin? The coin depends on the bitcoin price. If bitcoin grows, then the etherium becomes more expensive. I do not expect this token of any serious growth against the general market trend.

Eth is not a token dude, it's a coin and a very good one at that. ETH is the best alt in the market with biggest market cap after BTC so it's obvious that ETH is better than other alts. On top of that ETH has a great platform and many devs working on it so it surely not going to burn your money if you invest in it.

Ethereum maybe next to bitcoin according to marketcap but that doesn't mean that its better than other alts because alts has different functionality and its up to the investor what kind of project they want to invest.

I agree but ETH is far safer bet than Ripple etc.

I believe so, yes. In my very own opinion Ethereum is a great long term investment. Ethereum is an open source platform with the mission to build and inspire next generation decentralized applications. But my advice is, conduct your own research while also listening to multiple perspective on the future of the coin so that you can instinctly ask yourself if you believe in the product or not.

Ethereum is a very good investment, there is no doubt it will grow in future. But you always have to think before making any investment to find right time for this. When topicstarter bought ethereum its price was 1200$, obviously it was wrong time to invest, we all saw what happened after. You should wait for correcting and then buy. That's my strategy

Etherium is one of the top coin and yes the price right now are soaring higher so for me better to wait for some correction because it will happen so you can make more money. Be more patient, this is the common rule in this kind of market or if you really want to take this opportunity right now then do it, just hold it because the future of eth is really good. To my own opinion, yes, it's very okay to invest in etherum now. I strongly believe it is still a good time to invest in Etherium since the demand for increase in applications built on ethereum technology is still booming. It can possibly reach 1800k  USD this year if this demand continues to rises.

Ethereum is taking a big dip currently as the market is struggling  with low valuation, the fact that there are a number of people in the market have panicked and decided to sell off makes it even harder as they have gone on ahead to sell off in a low value hence dumping it even more, ETH is still a good coin  with lots of promise and has a chance to develop and grow even more , taking advantage of the momments and buying it at this low market will work to your advantage and buy more of the coins and hold on to them as much as possible till the bull run gets here

There have been countless speculations that July and August would be bullish for crypto. Already we're starting to see some greens this month. Ethereum even crossed $480 in the latest couple of days. So I'm not sure It'll go below $400. Need I mention that there's a strong resistance that won't let it drop that low. It's better to get some eth as soon as possible. The all time high is around $1400+
