Couldn't think of any smart title. I'm frustrated because some people really crack me up, such as Phinnaeus Gage, and I'd like a way to give this feedback to them. I hate replying just a "LOL" post, though, and sending a "LOL" mp seems a bit akward. I mean, check those 2 random posts: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=271589.msg2908520#msg2908520https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=267717.msg2863240#msg2863240Really deserves a lol, to me. Any idea how this could be acheived ?

This Bitcoin forum needs a 'tip' system, like how Reddit's Bitcoin sub-reddit works
That would be genius, "i tip this guy 0.01 btc for being a funny motherfucker"

I would never give a dollar to Phinnaeus Gage, I know he's just waiting to be rich enough to order his own Jalapeno. But something in that spirit would probably be nice. Not just a "I liked your post", but a "Your post made me laugh" click.

Have you thought about posting a reply instead? Maybe something along the lines of "Your post made me laugh"?

For maximum creepiness, PM that response to them.

Perhaps this thread could become a "Best of Bitcointalk" thread where users nominate posts by quoting them here. Like this: If only there was some way to easily automate this type of thing. Like a way to I dunno, tell a computer what to do? Maybe some type of "code" that the computer could understand. And we could have a base for storing all the data, a "database" if you will. I bet millions of people all over the world could use such things to turn "logistics nightmares" into solved problems.
Heck, maybe someday someone could even create a currency of sorts using these tools and solve the "logistics nightmare" of tracking hundreds of transactions per day.
We can dream.

Agreed! And that's a good start indeed! Just quoting the funniest posts here seems like a right way to credit their author without having to pollute the topics with LOLs, great idea This should be moved off-topic, though, probably.
