Hi all,

What is the normal range for the S9's chip temperature? my miner were all in the low 70s, but the fan that brings airflow to the room stopped working, and when I realized the room temperature reached 55c. The kernel logs dont show any temperature alarm, but now all miners have their chip temperature in the high 70s low 80s. I turned them off for a few minutes, and the room temperature is now 27c. Couple of hours later no change. Is this normal? should I be worried?

Thank you

I've seen them run to the mid 80's with no problems.  Usually 66-72, but it's winter now and temps are a bit colder

They are safe until they hit the 95 Celsius. If that happens(it goes over 95+) then you are having problem with air circulation and you should probably place your miner somewhere else.
