Is anyone else experiencing these problems with coinbase lately?

When I first qualified for L2 Instant Transfers everything seemed fine. But for the past few weeks I've experienced long delays in sending btc to external addresses. I'll buy the coins and the coins are shown as being in my account on Coinbase instantly. But when I try to transfer those coins to an external address it could take up to an hour or two to just see the transaction register on the blockchain. So while my account shows funds instantly, effectively I don't have use of those funds for up to several hours. I sent a message to Coinbase support and received the following reply.

Support,
I've noticed that my instant BTC purchases, while show in my wallet instantly, are not actually available for transfer for up to an hour. It seems that I'm sent an email when the BTC is actually available to be transferred. The time seems to vary from a few minutes to an hour.

Is this a problem CB is aware of? Is this a design limitation? How do we get this fixed?

Thank you!

Aaron,

Thanks for pointing this out! When you buy instantly, we transfer it from our internal balance to your account, and the confirmation of that transaction by the bitcoin network can take up to an hour. In the future we will eliminate this transfer, so you can spend the bitcoin right away. Hope that explains!

My latest transfer after a instant purchase still has not hit the block chain after 2 hours. The block chain address shows no activity. This is the problem I've been talking about.

No reply after the last message.

Now I'm having a different problem which started yesterday (Saturday).
I purchased btc but it was pending for several hours before my account finally listed the funds being present. I checked my verification status and I am still on L2 - instant transfer. Once they were marked as available funds(no longer pending), I have been unable to transfer them to an external address. The process seems to go fine until I click on the pending transfer at which point I'm taken back to the transactions page and a message in green that says "Couldn't find that transaction." is at the top of the screen.

Is anyone experiencing similar issues?

I'm surprised that I'm the only one with this issue. Maybe my account is jacked up.

Coinbase is riddled with flaws and software problems. The whole site is like a work in progress. I have been trying for two weeks now to get my identification verified. I gave them all the info they require but still, no id verification. Angry

Like they said, the reason is that the transactions don't appear in the blockchain until the next block is confirmed. That is completely normal. Sometimes it can take a long time for the next confirmation.
