Hi,

5 days ago Visa suspended the activity of WaveCrest, so Tenx, Wirex, Xape, Bitwala and cryptoPay are not working anymore.

Is there any alternative right now to spend crypto with cards ? any company have a mastercard that can word worldwide?

That's a real problem, folks.
I never had such problem but hope anybody has a solution. The first think I would do: call the bank and ask why did it happened.
Also: where are you from? Maybe that has something with the local laws?

Coinbase offers the Shift card through shiftpayments....There is also Bitpay, although I have been seeing some reports of them only working in the U.S.

Its worldwide card but their charges is insane also your bitcoin deposit might take upto 7 working days to be shown in your card.

You can try payoneer card with express delivery for around 50$, load your skrill account with bitcoin and than send that to your European bank account you will get in payoneer. Skrill charges around 7$ for wire transfer. Open EURO account in skrill to save on currency exchange fee.

Skrill is a good option if your in the EU but I want a card that works worlwide without much hassle, I can wait a couple of weeks to see if a company finds a solution

What is the type of network used in Wagecan cards?

It's a MasterCard issued by a Chinese card issuer. Fees are insane. You first need to get the card and the fee for that alone is a hefty $225:

https://wagecan.com/Pricing

As you can see, they reduced it from an even heftier $250. If you think about it, the price reduction is still not very encouraging. If cash is what you're after with this card, have a look at their limits on the link above. It is max USD 25k per year for ATM transactions. If verified to KYC level 2, you can load an unlimited amount on the card but only $25k of that load is allowed for ATM use. The rest is for POS-based transactions or purchases in shops, restaurants etc.

You're allowed max 1 card in your name. The downside is the issuer of this card can arbitrarily impose KYC reverification even if you are already fully KYC verified. This can happen while you are about to withdraw, while you are loading the card, while you are about to pay... not nice.

Top up process is 2 to 7 business days. If there are Taiwan and HK public holidays in between, it will be 2 to 7 business days PLUS those holidays.

The one good news about it is that, unlike other restricted card programs, Americans are not restricted from applying for this card. Everyone can apply with a few exceptions (North Korea, Afghanistan, Iran etc). The card works globally.

If you lose the card, be aware of the fine print:

Card Replacement  51.00 USD

ATM Transaction International 2.5% (a minimum of 3 USD). This effectively means if you withdraw, say, $100 then the minimum would be the larger of either 2.5% of $100 or $3. Obviously it would be $3. As the amount increases, so does the fee also dramatically increases. Say $2000.. that would be 2.5% of 2000 or $50! That's WageCan's fee alone... not including the ATM's fee (the ATM you use the card on which is usually $5 or more).

Is anyone using Skrill? I see that we can load our account with Bitcoin, but I am interested to know if you can then use the Mastercard. Because Neteller has a bitcoin option, but you can't use their card to send the bitcoin loaded...

I closed my Skrill account roughly a year ago after they once again
raised their fees. Therefore I´m not exactly sure about your question,
but I would assume that Bitcoin deposits also can´t be used for
ATM withdrawals, because Skrill and Neteller are both subsidiaries of
the same parent company.

I would be highly surprised if they would handle it differently than Neteller.
It makes also more sense from a business perspective, because they earn
more if you spend the money at a merchant instead of withdrawing it
(where the majority of the fees is going to Mastercard and the issuing bank).

Thanks, It's useless so. I wonder why people are using Skrill as a wallet when they are charged 1% for each deposit and on the top of that can only use to send bitcoin to other Skrill users or merchants.

I will keep waiting when Bitwala gets the banking license so, It will be a lot easier. The suggestion from @warningsigns is interesting but no estimated time about the cards

Hi,

5 days ago Visa suspended the activity of WaveCrest, so Tenx, Wirex, Xape, Bitwala and cryptoPay are not working anymore.

Is there any alternative right now to spend crypto with cards ? any company have a mastercard that can word worldwide?

Mastercard is not a solution, since this company could behave just like Visa.

At least if it's working right now then I can take this chance because in my country there is way to withdraw my Bitcoin, So Mastercard will be great solution to purchase and withdraw real cash.
