I have noticed a few things that seem odd to me but probably I am just naive/ignorant in such matters.
When I log on to this board I get a white screen in Firefox and must open a new Firefox browser window to this url to access the board?
Also, with my first post yesterday, as well as my immediately prior post to this one(second post total-as OldDutchman777, more on this below) when I hit post I get the message that I need to wait 360 seconds between posts. Of course, being my first post in over 12 hours it has not been less than 360 seconds since my last post??
Additionally, I noticed that my total time logged on showed as 40 minutes when I had only logged on less than 5 min. prior??
Lastly, Re: "as OldDutchman777"; I had registered as OldDutchman77 on the 8th(I believe) but later forgot my password and requested a resend. Unfortunately, I then found out more than I cared to about a company named "lavabit", I had not heard of them before a few days ago when I was searching for a new secure e-mail account. They looked good, secure wise-signed up. Used that as my e-mail for this account.
Perhaps you have heard of "lavabit"? If so, you can probably guess the rest of my sad tale. When I forgot my password for this forum and requested a send to my "lavabit" email acct. I was greeted with a message from the owner of lavabit that was cryptic but bottom-line he stated he was sad to make a tough decision to shut down the site. Some checking shed some light on perhaps why he was shutting it down and was so cryptic about why he made that decision. Seems lavabit has some important connections to a gentleman by the name of Edward Snowden. I had not heard of lavabit until a few days ago but I have heard some discussion about Mr. Snowden. Seems that this Snowden, lavabit, court decisions and an apparent strong desire on the part of Uncle S officials to have an in person chat with Mr. S have added up to me being unable to access my OldDutchman77 acct. here, of which, I am quite fond and attached. If you have any ideas on how to correct that situation I would be very appreciative.
Thanks very much for your attention and patience.
Sincerely,
OldDutchman77(7)
