If you are investing for the first time, here's a possible step wise approach:

Step 1: Decide what you can afford to lose? Say its 100 USD.

Step 2: Buy 50 USD of BTC. Keep 30 of it for holding and put 20 for small, quick trades in existing currencies on an exchange like Binance

Step 3: Buy ETH and a privacy coin like Monero with the remaining 50 USD.

Step 4: Hold the privacy coin

Step 5: Explore ICOs here on BCT and put your ETH into it. If you just want tips on whats the best ICOs to look in, Just look at the signatures of some of the better posters. But Do your own research before.

Step 6: Get onto Bounties and campaigns and start learning. The last step is the best! This is not investment advice as everybody on BCT knows these things these days. Happy investing!

You should be investing money in cryptocurrency where the chances of the uptrend to increase is more something like Bitcoin and Ethereum both. Apart from these coins, you should also try to invest in high value based crypto coins like Neocoin, Litecoin, Monero, Ripple, Zcash, and dash which are rising in this highly competitive crypto world. BTC and ETH are considered as good investment for long term.

If you understand what you are trying to do, then why try it for yourself to see what will be the output. Like I said, they are good for long term investment so at least, you can expect a decent profit out of playing with those cryptos.

If you want to earn something I'd recommend investing in promising altcoin like Ethereum, Ripple, Cardano and others. Bitcoin is out of its potential. Now its price just slightly fluctuating on about the same level and hardly will jump up. Altcoins are more advanced. For example, Ethereum's potential is huge.

The first piece of advice is that you should only invest in Crypto what you are prepared to lose, it is a very volatile market - and while it is on the up at the moment it has in the past has dry spells as well. Dont put all your eggs in one basket.

Having said that, Bitcoin is really the gold standard in crypto, others need more vetting, you should get to understand each project and see what the level of community, developer commitment etc is like.

Everyone has their respective views on what they will invest, they believe in what they take.
I just give an advice, if you are right will invest. I think, eth will be the most potent coin for long term, btc also no problem just btc is currently very expensive.

If you want to invest for a specific period, then invest in bitcoin. Because it is a good opportunity to buy Bitcoin. However, Etherium and many good coins, but now the price of Etherium is very high. So I think bitcoin is good for investing high units.

It depends upon your perception in which, for you where do you personally think the value of your money will blossom and can meet your expected desired level of return. In which in order for you to come up with these ideas you study and do your research first try reading articles about the coins you are going to put your money with.

I'd certainly recommend investing in Eth especially with the late problems with bitcoin and especially it's transactions that are taking exorbitant amount of money as fees and a lot of time to confirm which can be frustrating for a lot of people , unlike Eth that has a much minimal fees and much more faster transactions . Ethereum is also much cheaper than bitcoin which makes you able to invest in more quantity and is having much more ground to expand unlike bitcoin which is facing a stagnation period at the moment .

its up to you because got your own decision choose your heart want but its better to use your head for that for me its better to invest on bitcoin.

at times ethereum is a good investment but those times don't last for long and the pump of it comes to an end each time. that is the problem with a coin that has no real world usage. and right now it is being pumped mostly because of all the ICOs and secondly because of all the newbies coming in.

bitcoin has the real world usage and that is why the long term is always for bitcoin. and as for security nothing can beat bitcoin.

Go invest more on Ethereum due to its capability on beating Bitcoin as it was not that much popular and could still be trusted, because Bitcoin is going down and might fall to zero as it receives dozens of bash due to the reason that it is used by the others' scam as a front and therefore shaden the good side of Bitocin.
