There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Ethereum Network is suffering from congestion since last week. Maybe because there are many people using it right now. There are also news, i dont know if these are rumours, that ethereum was compromised. Maybe this also affect the network.

The congestion has been present from some days now, it is difficult to transfer ether with lower gas prices. The best thing to do when there is congestion is to check gas prices at https://ethgasstation.info/ and send the transaction with the required gas amount to avoid stuck transaction.
I myself have burnt some ethers when my transactions failed after being stuck for long time because of low gas.

Ok then, I can see I´m not the only one having this problem. I also learned that several people has more than 600 confirmations and have been waiting for 8 hours until now. So I guess one just have to be patient  Undecided
