Waves is a great project so i often wondered the same, held it for a long time but the price never went up. Better to go to the DEX and swap your waves for WAGERR. This is a better investment with more potential to rise, it will be the defacto betting coin this year. Get some now before everyone completes the token swap to wagerr coin

It has come to my attention that Waves is representing the scorex codebase and our whitepapers as their work for the purposes of holding a crowdsale. Iohk has no relationship with Waves. The scorex core developers are iohk employees and will not be collaborating in any capacity with the Waves team. We do NOT endorse their sale or claims.

We cannot stop Waves from using Scorex as a foundation for their project as it is open source; however, none of the Waves team have made any contributions to scorex and again the lead developer of scorex will not collaborate with Waves.

Hmm... I am personally staying out of Waves if their developer need to plagiarize from the hard work of Cardano's team.
This doesn't reflect well on the abilities/calibre of the developers of Waves.  

If their team need to take codes build by other teams because of their incapability, at the very least, they will need to accurately give due credit to the team who have put in the actual/real work (e.g. explicitly include citations and references).
I come from a scientific academic background, and such behaviour is seriously not ethical nor acceptable at all. This should not be tolerated.

I have just sold my small Waves holdings at a slight loss in protest of this behavior.

Ripple is creating their characteristic by not accepting the oscillation and competition from the market, the operator holding the fixed supply. Basically the ripple brings quite high stability, however, their growth rate is a matter of warning in the future.

I think waves is a good project and it needs time to prove in the market although the price now is not too high, we can buy much of waves and hold it for a long time. waves will explode in the future because they have their own market with many coins inside the market and the good news, waves could be lending to other so we can get the interest.

It's not low I bought 500 waves when it was at $2 level and now on profit, the potential of this coin is coming once they released their smart contract features, the price could increase although not triple as many are expecting to happen

Ripple has historically grown and became the most promising penny in 2017. It remains a popular coin for the purpose of sending money through banks, quickly and conveniently. value for ripple. However, the problem of ripple is that the operators and managers have tried to make it stable. It may take more time to finalize these inherent problems.

This is partly true and they could work more productive but it seems that they do not want to change anything and that they are satisfied with everything...
Waves need more ICOs on their platform, without it - they will not get good promotion at all. 99% of Waves ICOs were really shit.

Many choose waves for a short-term perspective and immediately sell without seeing the movement. But we must understand that they will have quite a lot of interesting solutions this year and should wait, growth will be necessary.

the waves team is not lazy. they may be struggling to be the best of every job they do. they hold regular conferences and meetings.
the current price is not very high, but they certainly have a great potential.

waves always have low prices because of demand for investment is also not much cause it costs low and slow movements in value. These coins actually have good prospects just still compete with other coins.

Waves is a great project and technology which is expected to be a tough competitor for ethereum. That expectation led people to dissatisfaction about waves but it's not completely wave's fault. Waves was around 15-16 dollars just before crash happend and it was in a uptrend. That crash effected all coins and delayed the development of coins. I am still hopeful about the future of waves and we should give it some more time to reach it's true potential.

i understand your frustration, waves has been under the radar for a long time now, i guess its just too many working progresses for the ultimate bullrun.
but you canuse this situation for a great entry, waves dex with new ui will soon be final, smart contracts in simple form start of 2018 and turing complete end of 2018, news gets priced in earlier, so i suggest mid 2018 waves to go full parabolic

May be it was sort of over hyped or too much buzz was created due to which the people where very excited and this lead to high expectation form the project which did not went though for people as they where expecting it. Might be in coming years the coin may be worthy more than what it is at present.
