I'm sorry if this isn't the correct thread, just started my account here.
So, here's my situation, I'll be using my own gaming rig for litecoin, I know that's not profitable anymore but I really just want to learn how to do it by actually setting up some mining software and tinkering with it  before I go ahead and make any hardware purchases. The problem is that links for guiminer-scrypt downloads are typically long since dead and the most recent posts of it are from 2013 or 2014 (even on here, I used that search bar). Google searching gives the exact same dead results. The only site I found my virus scanner throws a fit about it so I'm not sure I can trust it (i'm not going to post it either incase it infects). Are there alternatives to guiminer scrypt that are trustworthy and not extinct. Thank you for your time.
