HOW DO YOU MAKE A BACK UP WALLET???
The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

1. Stop/exit bitcoin client completely
2. copy/paste wallet.dat somewhere else (from "C:\Users\USER\appdata\Roaming\Bitcoin" on Windows 7)
3. upgrade client
4. ...?
5. profit.
