There is a privacy conscious cryptocoin that is gaining quite a bit of attention lately. It is a coin called Particl and it has a well known backer in Charlie Shrem.

I would use a little bit of caution when investing in Particl because Srem was watched by the police and prolly still being watched.

If that was backed by charlie shrem doesn't mean if that will become a promising coin in the future. We have monero that very well known about the best privacy coin that runs on its blockchain and remember it can't be traced and we don't need more privacy coin if that will be still pegged to the centralized exchange site.

Particl isn't "just another privacy coin". It has utility for developing applications, like their Marketplace. They have a smart business model.

I think when the trend of anonymous currencies returns to the market, these types of cryptocurrencies will be of interest to everyone. We have many other anonymous cryptocurrencies on different markets that allow POS mining like PIVX and anonymous coins mining with POW like Monero, Dash, ZCash, BCN, Grin, Deep Onion ...
The POW-mined currencies may have better value gain since they are backed by the miner. So the idea of a currency using POS will be less likely to increase in value. Currently, anonymous coins are discouraged by the government so the future for PART does not expand. We can invest a little in this project but don't expect much profit from it.
