Well, one of my H81 Asrock LGA 1150's fried... I already have DDR3 Ram and an LGA 1150 Intel Celeron.. so I thought I'd get another LGA 1150 board... guess what?? It seems like they're all sold out and being an older platform (even though they released new versions of the board in 2017), it's seemingly out of production... then I stumbled upon this:

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/2017-new-PC-computer-BTC-mining-h81-Chipset-motherboard-With-LGA1150/32832434504.html?src=google&albslr=202256471&isdl=y&aff_short_key=UneMJZVf&source=%7Bifdyn:dyn%7D%7Bifpla:pla%7D%7Bifdbm:DBM&albch=DID%7D&src=google&albch=shopping&acnt=708-803-3821&isdl=y&albcp=653482935&albag=32646801963&slnk=&trgt=75384829977&plac=&crea=en32832434504&netw=g&device=c&mtctp=&gclid=Cj0KCQiAkNfSBRCSARIsAL-u3X_OPTcQqXq8-N0A3VceAg3gcbtIB8_pCWvbpBd4ldchQfqvWHOinRMaApalEALw_wcB

Any thoughts? Anyone ever use one before?

I thought about just starting fresh, but I rather not have to buy a new platform..  a new mobo, a new cpu, DDR4 ram... but we'll see..

Thanks for any input.

I also thought... maybe I can get another LGA 1150 board that doesn't have 6 pci-e slots and just use a multiplier, but not sure how good these work:

The seller on aliexpress has very little reputation as of now and I don’t see any markings indicating that this is a rebranded motherboard, interesting. I would stick to better-known brands if I were you still, though- a bad motherboard can easily become useless. 1150 mining motherboards still occasionally come into stock on sites like Newegg, you just have to wait for the right moment.

Multipliers sometimes work and sometimes don’t. Best to stick with straight mining motherboards unless you absolutely must use them and know they will work.

Appreciate the response and input.  The only thing is.. for LGA 1150 motherboards, Newegg said they're out of stock and that they don't allow "autonotify" the product is perhaps out of production I believe.

I'm still considering options, but looks like I'll have to take on the loss and move on... maybe go with an AMD platform for DDR4.. AMD seems to keep their socket lifcycles for longer.  We'll see.. we'll see.
