Large USB Hub with Raspberry Pi and USB Block Erupters?

I like the idea of mining with Raspberry Pi and USB block erupters, at least for now since they're both easy to come by. But, I've had trouble finding raspberry pi compatible usb hubs that can support more than 6 block erupters.

Although the Anker 10 port USB 3 hub is popular for usb block erupters, it's not Raspberry Pi compatible. There is a list of compatible hubs here:

But, most of them don't have enough power, don't have many ports and/or aren't configured in a way that makes it easy to fill up the ports and cool them (like the Anker 10 port).

I haven't used a R-pi - but my home setup has 2 "normal" powered hubs (2.0 Amp) with 4 block eruptors on each.  Hum-ing away fro over 36 hours now.  No problem.

I got a 13 port Mbeat USB Hub that runs 10 of the miners without problem. However, I need to hook up the Pi to another powered Hub for the extra juice. Seems a pain in the ass.

Anyone has any idea how we can daisy chain a few hubs together? I tried a star formation with 2 x 13 port powered hubs with 20 Erupters connected to a 7 port powered hub. The Pi is then connected to the 7 port hub. Managed to detect the 20 Erupters but could not get them to work as the power supply probably was not sufficient.

I thought you need a program to start the Eruptors. If so, is it already available for the Raspberry Pi?
I was planning to buy some and connect it to my htpc.

I'm running 12 on a Pi with 2 D-Link 7port powered hub I use the 7th port for a fan, seeing 4Gh/s with no issues.
I have tried adding 13th... It appeared in the cgminer list, but was erroring. Not sure if its power or the PI's USB bandwidth. Anyone know how much bandwidth each of these erupters takes?
