So I lucked into 15 of the new P104-100s. I am thinking best use for them would be 2 rigs of 8 each (add a 1070 ti as 8th card on one.)

So I figure I would reach out to you guys to pick your brains! How would you build these two rigs? What power supplies or set up would you use?

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

Since they are mining cards, you can probably run all of on the Asus B250 mining expert motherboard.

Sadly, I am pretty sure they are sold out everywhere.

I meant if they are already being sold to the public by manufacturers and resellers.

Just corrected by my contact. Looks like arrival date is January 30th. Mine are the 2nd wave and made by MSI. The first wave is already out there.

How much were they?  Reading the specs, they sound like bad cards;  Like a 1070 with shitty gddr5x memory.

except there not shitty at all, there was a post of someone else whom has already been able to test the p104-100 and it hashes like a beast, getting over 35mh maybe close to 37 on eth, has decent speed on equihash too, little better than a 1070 even though the p104-100 has only what 4gb memory? or does it have 8gb

Look like the same performance with my tests:

Btw, if it's possible, could you please show the GPU-Z record? I want to see its memory in detail.

I only see one shop that offers the card around here but so far it was never available. What a pity as your results look really worth it especially that the card is much cheaper than a regular 1070.
