Quick block generation: 30 seconds
8192 ANI per block (halving every 120960 blocks ~ 6 weeks)
Block reward will never drop below 8 ANI
Total of 1.976 billion ANI will be mined in ~ 6 months, after that ~ 8 million ANI p.a.
Difficulty retargets every 80 blocks (maximum 10% up or 50% down)

Have you set rpcallowip=xx.xx.xx.xx:rpcport in the .conf file....you need to use the ip of the pc you are mining from so that the wallet will accept the incoming connection...
you can set multiple connectios

I walked away from this coin about 2 months ago (after mining it daily for 2 years+) because it basically got hijacked and there was a full website / discord channel and very extensive white paper detailing exactly how it would be merged and swapped with another coin.
The coinswap ratio was ridiculous...i even joined the discord channel briefly....but then i moved on...
I have just been searching for all that, and it has all disappeared, various people have commented on a different thread about the website disappearing around the time of a massive pump, and the new site mentions nothing.
All in all, i can say i have no idea what has happened to this coin, but my stats are true, what has been a perfectly mineable coin for years is now completely unprofitable.
If i can find any copies of the white paper, and coin swap perhaps via "webarchive" i will give you the links. In the meantime, have fun.

I have 6 connections....BUT... the difficulty is off the chart. When i was mining 100,000 a day, diff was 0.002, i stopped mining at diff 0.1 (still getting about 8k-1k a day). When new wallet came out i tried for 24 hours, diff was 6, and get 8 coins...current diff 1229, so unless you got 6x1080ti rig, not a chance, and even then i think you'll pay more for power than you'll ever earn.

Im doing a rebrand of this coin myself. The current direction this coin is going for is for a lack of better words lazy. This isnt because the devs ( or rather dev ) is bad its just there isnt marketing for the coin and or a push to make anything happen. Im in the process or making a website and already have a dapp in the process to go alongside it. I want this coin to thrive not only as a meme but with the original vision for a base currency that the anime community can share.  Right now the coin is 3x higher than the bullmarket run we had before which is weird since nothing has been accomplished at all. With that said be on the look out for a new coin thats run by me instead with an actual marketing push. if you would like to know more about what my goals are hmu on discord and ill try to get to you 不愉快です！#0420. I dont want this coin to die but its basically is. I want a strong community following it but the discord is so dead it looks like a bot graveyard. The circulating supply and market cap are not listed anywhere. Do you have the answer to the question?

It is possible that the forum account have been sold to someone who is trying to pump and dump the coin, there is no block explorer, no information on an official wallet other than saying coming soon in their website. The "official website" feels very shady because my browser gets slow and unresponsive every time I open it, I am sure it have script that mines some other coin - there isnt any other logical explanation seeing all the red flags already.

Why bother? I earn 10x that with my cpu...

9 months ago, a 750ti on i-8 was pulling min of 1250 coins a day, that why miners were easily hodling 250,000 coins, which they will start dumping anytime now....
Fraid this coin had its time to months 9-12 months ago...but i'm sure someone will happily prove me wrong....
All it needed was the miner who jumped all over it back then with stupid hashpower to have mined with 1 simple card and the diff would still be under 1, not the 3800 , but that seems to be how we mine now....its massive rigs or ure not a real miner....hopefully when BTC hits $5000 dollars lots of miners will give in and then we can go back to the essence of mining, mining in the background with your home/gaming pc making a few bucks, whilst keeping the blockchain ticking over gently...

One thing i would like to know though...
I have been solomining this coin of 3 pcs. 2 windows 1 linux.
Until the announcement of the pool i have never had an issue mining, but now i get

This has only happened since the pool came out. Don't know how, or why, but someone has fudged something, I am using exactly same pcs. software, wallets and miners, and all 3 stopped mining withing seconds of each other, and now 24hrs later, still wont solo....very suspicious. This WAS a great coin. Easily mineable, and profitable.
However since it's re-vamp it is now hit with huge hash via many rigs and is not worth wasting your time with.
You need at least a 1080ti rig, and even that will struggle to pay for its power costs....

I borrowed a 1080ti rig for a month, and mined Anime for 5 days solid, the diff was higher than current, and the hashrate similar, but the most i mined was 408 coin in 1 day, most days less than 320 coins. (Which even at todays prices, doesnt cover the power costs here in the UK), but i always found it weird that such a powerful rig was only earning so little, especially since other claimed so much more.

Anyway, we can bat figures around for ever, all i know is i can't even earn £0.01 a day on this coin anymore with my rig.
I will ask my mate (also in the UK) to point his rig at 1 pool for 12 hours, just so we can see what he earns...my suspicion is less than 200 coins (perhaps it is down to lag, i know that dramatically affects solo mining, but didnt think it had much affect on pool mining).

As for hatred, i dont hate anything, seriously, it's only "crypto". My point is this time last year, i was mining 100,000 a month ( as were many of us ) with 1 crappy card, when we could be bothered to fire them up., but the price was 1/100th, so by todays  measure that would be like mining 1000 coins a month...yesterday running 2 cards flat out i mined 7.34 coins (7.34 x 30 days = 220.2 coins / month) = around 22,000 sats a month = around £0.10 a month, with power costs well in excess of £35 a month. So if i "hate" anything, its simply when an real old good coin, is taken away from the masses, being mined gently in the background (as Satoshi's original concept) and becomes only mineable by a few with huge investment, running 24/7.

Anyways enuff, for me, now is simply the wrong time to mine this coin, will be interesting to see what happens when a real bigboy throws his 100 rigs at this coin for a week, and leaves the diff so high no one can mine it....i will be back probably in a year or so when it becomes fun again.
Untill then i wish you well, i am off to mine some more very old coins, very gently with my cpu/gpu, and hopefully in 2-4 years they will have a value bump just like this

I see a sizeable 1.5 Gh/s rig joined, getting a few hundred per hour as expected. 300-400 coins a day is single card level, too little for the rig for sure!
Well, since rig users are mostly driven by simple greed, once the difficulty rises too high they return to mining their ethereum or whatever is trendy and the difficulty falls back.

So far various altcoins tried to introduce scalable rewards and such to be rig-resistant, but none of those really took off yet, perhaps implementing your idea of a coin that can't be mined by the same node 24/7 would be a fun challenge.

As of quark, anime indeed uses same hashing functions in different order, but it also requires a few 80-bit hash routines which only ANI uses, thus porting is not trivial (i had some headache modifying KlausT's ccminer and it still turned out slower than tpruvot's). I'm quite sure it will remain asic-resistant for the time being.
I should mention lower tier cards seem to have a better cost-effectiveness on this algo as well, 1050ti=20Mh, 1060/P106=23-29Mh, 1070=27-29Mh... Wonder how well 1080ti performs?

At the moment, the webmasters are working on getting the official block explorer back online. Since we've got over 5 million blocks, the database re-deployment is a lengthy process which may take hundreds of machine hours. Until it's on, you may use the miningbase simplified explorer.
We're looking forward to cryptopia re-opening and plan to apply for a new exchange listing as well once our site is updated.

There will be a minor wallet update soon (0.9.2 most likely).

The work on a new major release is already in progress, 0.10 will bring fast parallelized block syncing and various security and RPC improvements for smoother integration of light/web applications. This should give a green light to the Web Wallet on our roadmap.

What is the point of bringing back this once great old coin....?

The block reward is currently 1/1000th of what it was (was 8192 coins a block now 8 coins), and the price peaked over 18months ago, and currently there are no exchanges.
If it gets re-listed it will only ever be a 1 sat coin.
There are bag holders out there with literally millions of coins, but currently you can only mine just over 23,000 coins a day.

if wallet has no peers, you shouldn't be able to mine, and if you can then you are forking the chain.

You only need 1 connection, but you DO need one connection

I could see some potential from just the name/brand but it's seems it's not being adopted by those who would be interested in it from the anime/manga community.
No utility as of yet.

I only got solo mining to work with cpuminer-opt, the gpu-miners around require a pool that I've seen around.
There is a 1% fee for the pool provided from the devs of this project.

For the time being, solo mining to a 0.8.x or 0.9.x wallet should work for any miners that support the algo. The instructions earlier in this thread should be still valid.
0.10.0 will only work if your miner properly supports getblocktemplate for solo.
Next minor release will introduce a softfork, once it kicks in the blocks generated by earlier versions will no longer be accepted by network. Currently the plan is to do so in 0.10.1 around March, unless a need for a bugfix release arises.

Any help getting a old 8800 GTS to run this algorithm?

I tried Nvidia 342.01 drivers with the older ccminer build v1.2 from 2014 but it was crashing when running the anime algorithm.
Animiner-GPU would also crash with bcrypt.dll

Had a spare older system that could have this running if I get it to work.
I expected it to work with the older software builds, but initial test failed.

Any suggestion on which version of ccminer would work? Something newer than v.1.2 but not too new requiring newer GPU & drivers.

EDIT: damn... anime algorithm was added with compute 3.0...
This 8800 GTS is compute 1.0 only... to old.

Was effected for ~6 hours on the 25th February. Has been fine since then but would be good if this doesn't occur frequently.
I've noted this twice now that the network wasn't functioning when the pool wasn't running.

Maybe there aren't enough full-nodes running?

All the old coins are valid and will always be valid.
Old wallet files are forward compatible.

Once the network adopts the fork, the old nodes:
- won't be able to mine new blocks;
- should still be able to sync, send and receive transactions for the time being, but can no longer reliably check whether they're on the proper chain.

The wallet application can't deal with non-English letters like "å, ä, ö" in the file-path.

Only Zpool.ca working and all other sites/explorers are closed.

Zpool.ca takes a hefty fee with converting to BTC and then back.

Solo mining doesn't work any more in the most recent build I recall... So how long before we have no pool? And no Solo possible?

Was fun as a hobby to learn the ins-outs of wallets/solo-mining etc with this coin but seems it's on it's last legs.
