They are basically asking for a beat down. Assuming the attack don't destroy America's nuclear arsenal then there would be retaliation. I suppose America's allies would help too. Aside from the US, France and the UK also have nukes and they are NATO members.

This I think is very true. I mean, BTC price has pretty much been just around $15k-16k these past weeks but it went below $14k today. Seems the announcements from Korea was the cause. Now just imagine if that get nuked.
On the plus side if they both destroy themselves and the US manage to keep China out of the peninsula, the US have a new pile of ash to rule over.
