"chainsperday" : 0.27842972

hp9, default settings... 8 cores...

nowhere near 1.7...

what am i doing wrong?

Are you sure your blockchain is up to date?  It should have ~110k blocks so far.
Once it's caught up, be sure to stop and restart primecoin so you have accurate info.

blockchain is up to date
now blocks: 115502

stopped and restarted primecoind, even rebooted server.. still sh*t performance...
trying out 1 month, then never fortatrust again!

Not much point in starting new vps right now if the GPU miner is already out to the beta testers

You do realize that's someone's genius attempt at trolling?

Actually, no, it's in there:

Code:
$ strings -n 20 blk00000.dat | tail -10
,Olviretki Schleusingenissa kansannayttamo.fi
*Being the Royal Discordian Kilted Hacksmen
4We build websites for primecoin: www.waspdigital.com
"All hail king sunny"
!100% naturally grown prime chains
"All hail king sunny"
"All hail king sunny"
"All hail king sunny"
"All hail king sunny"
=This block was mined with mtrlt's GPU miner version 0.01 Beta

But given that it's possible to put anything in there, there's no reason to believe that it's real.

Anyone went for this shit? I only see about 6-12% of the performance the CPU should offer. It's slower than my netbook. Don't go for it. Don't go for it - it's a trap and you can only cancel via phone. ridiculous.

I did... and I regret it from day 1 off... indeed less than 10% of the promised CPU power... just received billing for the rest of the year... well... they can wait for payment until I have full CPU power!! Hahaha

The GPU miner will be very bad for the VPS business which had a huge boom from primecoin miners.  Well, all good things must come to an end...

Well, what do we do? I wrote a support ticket stating that it is not nearly offering the power of an 8 core 2.67 xeon and that i benchmarked it.

they simply replied that it might not have enough RAM and recommended I got an upgrade. rofl. answering now "no i am definitely not doing anything wrong and the RAM is not full, you are ripping me off" (in nice-speak). let's see how it goes.

People... be aware of this 'provider' Forta'trust'... and DON'T EVER TRUST THEM!!!
They keep trying to get your creditcard withdrawed forever, even if they know they won't get their money! (They won't get any money from me, because my (prepaid luckilly) cc is not being funded anymore... lol!)
This is the worst ever provider I've ever seen!

DON'T EVER TRUST FORTATRUST, WORST PIECE OF SHIT IN THE UNIVERSE!!!
