having everything prepared before the trips happens so that you can fully enjoy whatever the occasion is. Yes the first comment says about bringing dollars but still some countries does not accept foreign currencies specially the market ones type of store so it will be still a problem later on. I really hope we can have our own cryptocurrency be accepted to lots of stores so that we can't have this kind of problem.

indeed for now the reality is we have to exchange our money in the fiat currency of the destination country, so that we are comfortable using it. but my hope is that the crypto currency will be regulated soon, so that it can become a global currency and make it easier for us to travel between countries

It would really take years truly speaking. But yet in the current time, we can have benefits from cryptocurrencies in terms of overseas currency. We could easily convert cryptocurrency into cash anytime due to the platforms which makes transacting with cryptos much easier such as localbitcoins, etc.

Now, we could even sell bitcoins directly for cash in most of the countries which would include the countries you are planning to visit for a trip and this would make it easier for you to avail the local currency without actually exchanging your currency but just by selling bitcoins to any of the local dealers. This might be time consuming but for sure it would save your charges to convert your native currency into local currency.

I have come across some couple of projects that are aimed towards bringing solution to this currency issue by travellers, and they look good actually with their solutions (thats if they aren't actually scam), however, bitcoin is already being accepted in some big hotels and travel destinations, i know of a friend that travelled to UAE and was able to spend his bitcoin at restaurants and even hotels without having to worry about currency exchange.

I always take US dollars with me on all trips, because of the currencies that are accepted around the world, only the dollar has the greatest distribution. Euros, pounds and yuan are also quite widespread, but the dollar has no analogue yet.

well indeed the USD can be accepted in all countries but there still have to find an exchange that can be used to exchange your assets for local money because usually when you want to buy something will require local money. unless you have prepared everything so before going abroad you can prepare the funds needed first and use what applications to make payments so that you can travel without using paper money and only need the digital money you have.

To begin with, in some countries we need to at least establish an uninterruptible power supply and have a more or less normal Internet, because if you are in the Sahel, you will encounter sooooo big problems, even with paper money, not to mention travel checks and cryptocurrencies.

This might not make it cheaper for each of us to travel the world with a limited budget but speaking in terms of cryptocurrencies, you can start paying with those at any corner of the world if ever cryptocurrencies are started to be accepted as a mean of payment all around the world. This would save a lot of extra hefty charges.

not just charges but it saves the hassel because we dont need to convert anymore but we can just scan and pay   .

Finding a store or service that uses cryptocurrency as a payment methods will also be a problem in different countries.
Adoption of crypto is not evenly distributed, it might be easy to get in Europe, but it could be the opposite in Asia or Africa.
What @Draker45 said is enough to reduce difficulties in procuring foreign currencies when traveling, as far as I know USD is almost accepted in all merchants in tourist places around the world, by providing it in our wallets so there will be no more problems regarding foreign currencies when traveling.

That's right, USD and EURO are accepted almost anywhere in small shops and restaurants, but not in supermarkets and government institutions(unless in a form of a bribe ). Only I would suggest to have with you as many smaller bills as possible. When they are giving you change in their local currency expect to be cheated big time.

Aren't you contradicting yourself here? First you claim that crypto isn't country based but some kind of a universal currency, but then state that we (who is "we"?) need to give permission to a country while you at the same time claim that legal documents aren't needed.

The usual way is that businesses accept crypto, then later find out what the legal consequences are as the legal system in most countries isn't up to date with the developments in the crypto space. In most countries there shouldn't be any serious consequences, but there are always countries such as Russia where things seem to operate in a different fashion in terms of legislation.

China can be added to the list as well, but at least they seem to be more direct with their approach, which can't be said about Russia. They have always followed through with sanctions and whatnot, which unfortunately didn't pan out well for crypto.
