Buy the dip, 2018 edition

I have a feeling this is going to be the first of many dips to come. We have only recently seen some traders from Wall Street,

investing serious money into Bitcoin and when large amounts of institutional capital are invested, things tend to happen

quickly. They have enough Fiat to cause some serious volatility, in such a small market. I am not OK with the Dips, but the

Spikes are excellent. 

I agree with you with Bitcoin recently going up to this kind of price point and seeing how the ups and downs, Bitcoin is yet on another consolidation mode but with an extreme range between 12,000$ to 20,000$. It may be the best time to accumulate more Bitcoin in the process of selling high buying low as it really helps if you are thinking of increasing your Bitcoin. As for the new investors I don't think that they contribute to the price increase more compared to what they are contributing to the volatility of the market.

Another good thing about this dip is that not just bitcoin experienced these decreases in its price but most of the altcoins in the market suffers the same dumps, a good opportunity for traders and holders to keep buying and take the advantage to profit from this kind of situation rather than to bite the Fud's that they are spreading, it is preparing to strike the price again.

I don't think that this is the last one in January, expecting a series of dip to come. However, looks like this is really a good buying more again. FUD will continue to exist, it is how we deal with it. So if they cause the market to dip, then we should take the opportunity, I mean every opportunity to buy and then keep on accumulating bitcoins.

This is another round to really bring out your cash and pour in the ecosystem and buy. Others are scare of dip, but on the contrary we can make a lot of money from it. Buy and then HODL. There are no magic in here. That's how successful investors do and should emulate them.

I don't want you to be the guy who are going to bitch later, seeing he didn't get it in dip but buy bitcoin at top price.

Yes we are now experiencing another dip again, maybe going until the second month of this year. So we better hold and have attention on the biggest dip. And if thats happens thats the time to buy bitcoins.

There is another chance for the people who wants to invest on bitcoin and I think the price dip will go upto $12K,so wait for that and buy when the orice starts to increase.There is a hardfork of ethereum coming up on Jan 19 so until that price of bitcoin may fall because people will look to buy ethereum than bitcoins because they will receive free coins from forks.

The arrival of traders from Wall Street certainly makes a significant difference in the movement of this coins. They are more expert in assessing the market, I also think dip at this time is just the beginning of another to come. I can not predict where Bitcoin will fall, but clearly the market movement is very much changed, some altcoins are showing up as well.

This for sure will not be the last dip for this month and this is kinda getting sort of scary, not to panic sell but i will wait for some more time and see what will happen.
Maybe in the same time i would go to eth for a quick investment but i know i will get back to my first love BTC

Every dip in the market is a golden opportunity. This is the best time to accumulate more BTC at a lower price - Buy low, Sell High. There will be more scenarios like this in the market cycle. Cost averaging method is recommended for long term investment.

From the way it has been, end of 2017 has been very bullish and many coins has risen to fame, with bitcoin surpassing many benchmarks. If you look at the market as a whole now, although not entirely bearish, but we can't deny that it has signs of a bearish trend. But some new investors jumped in when it was last at $18,000 and many here were saying it's good to buy on the dip
and IBM once had the small PC market to themselves and I am sure someone was saying buy on the dip until it ran into
the ground so you will have to convince me that it won't be you that will "cry for ever"

Maybe you would like to counter my argument with some facts instead of gut feeling or hoping to see what suits
your pocket like you did with your ripple comment

I mean I can do calculations based on ripple price  and number of coins (100bn) and BTC price-21m
being a computer programmer and come up with something (Try it, you will be surprised) but i have
trouble when it comes to speculation (XRP on Coinbase)

I bought a little fraction of bitcoin in order to buy it at a cheapest price. If i am not wrong, i bought at $12,700 when it touched it's dip during last night because of that fake fud..
Now i am on a 10% profit of that, it was not a huge investment, but yes, it is a huge difference anyway.

Don't know whether it is a Dip or beginning of an end of cryptos. Some people believe that it is an opportunity to buy and HODL, on the other hand, other says that its time to book the profit and exit the market as market is going crash after govt. intervention toward regulation.

Yep. Just as Warren Buffet says, "“Be Fearful When Others Are Greedy and Greedy When Others Are Fearful”, right now people are so fearful and abandoning their stake just to not lose so much, but the smart people are coming in and picking up the pieces.
