Now ripple is making news and said to be stronger than bitcoins. What do you guys think on different cryptos? My understanding is that different cryptos are used differently. What about eth?

Ripple is not stronger than bitcoin and will never be at least soon. Just like you said, they different cryptocurrencies for different purposes. Ethereum has been and will continue to be better that ripple in my own opinion.
