I am also rooting for ethereum bit I'm a bit sceptic on the upcoming regulations about ICOs. They are the pillar of inovation but are at risk because of all the scams that happened in 2017. :/

Actually, smart regulation could make the crypto market better. Better products, better ideas, better development, more innovation and no more resources sucked up by obvious, shameful and stupid scams. |

I think its either ethereum or ripple because last 2017 they are competing for the first and second rank for altcoins and the competition still continue on 2018.

In 2018 BTC is still the king of the Crypto market. This year, ETH will not be able to keep up with the BTC, although ETH is currently the most popular and widely used currency. Bitcoin is at this moment in time still the best cryptocurrency. I really like ethereum too. Now that a wider section of the public have been exposed to cryptocurrency I anticipate a spill over into the ICO market which I expect to grow further so this will for sure prop up ethereum further. I say prop up in a respectful manner, I do think they have some amazing applications and one of the real platforms with use cases. More millionaires were created directly due to eth last year than any other industry or company. So eth is also a super strong coin. I can see temporary swings in market dominance to eth but overall I still think Bitcoin will come out on top

Funny opinion  , do you think that there will be a currency can win over the king Bitcoin? think again  . Well, if Bitcoin will fall with a big value then the majority of currencies will fall too (even Ethereum) because all of them are affected by the developments of bitcoin. On the other hand, I think that this volatility of bitcoin price will not be long. just there are few problems that will be solved soon, for example, the high selling and some countries ( governments) are trying to break down Bitcoin in different ways. |

For me bitcoin will always remain in the first spot and crowned as a king because I can't think of any coins that is powerful enough to steal his spot and it is too early for that since crypto has just getting started to be well known in the whole wide world and sometimes when someone introduce to people who know nothing about digital currencies all they talked about first is bitcoin since it is the most popular one.

I think ETH will be the king of 2018. Because of its great platform. And there are many altcoin activities on it. Though ETH is fighting for a good price at this moment but I hope very soon ETH will go up! And in my opinion 2018 will be for ETH. Let's see

There's going to be a tough competition between Ethereum, NEO, Nano, IOTA and OmiseGO when it comes to percentage returns. But in terms of development Ethereum is going to beat them all. With sharding, POS and plasma coming Ethereum is going to have a real busy year.

BTC is taking a real big hit, but same towards ETH. ETH value against BTC is dropping from 0.1 to 0.07 now However, my guess would also goes to ETH but we shud never underestimate other coins that are in the same field EOS - So called Ethereum Killer Waves - I think waves is just super undervalue based on their tech and development, it deserves more NEO - China Ethereum? And more and more |

I think it will never happen. Bitcoin is still the most popular and most widely used digital currency in the planet. ETH will never surpass BTC this year even in terms of market cap in which ETH is behind of almost 50% of BTC. |

Ethereum the pioneer smart contract and being the king of altcoins, I see the possibility of it in the future becoming No. 1 in the All Cap market index in the near future but not in 2018! Bitcoin is still gonna to take the lead this year.
