HitBTC is an exchange you can trust, at least that is my experience so far.

binance so far had good performance. bitfinex also became more reliable when they returned the 80,000 bitcoin they'd lost last 2016 i think.

Bitstamp has a good reputation as being secure...the platform has great security, high transparency, and probably the best privacy policy in the industry.

Cryptonit also has an excellent reputation. They work with the FCA which establishes Cryptonit as a reputable and trustworthy BTC exchange, especially in Europe.

I would recommend you Binance and Bitstamp.
I'm using Binance and so far I never experienced any problems.

I've tried about four exchanges so far, and I had major problems with three of them (coss.io, shapeshift.io, and Kraken).  GDAX is the only one that has been smooth for me.

That said, which exchanges do you find to be trustworthy?  Are there any others that run smoothly?
You can use bittrex but now bittrex  close to new registration. If you create an account you can use this exchanger or you can also use kucoin or binance or youbit

All those exchanges are low ranked in my list. My favorites as follow

1. Bittrex
2. Binance
3. CEX.IO
4. GDAX
5. OKCoin

For many years, verified and for me the number one, which I use and I am happy with the services it is Bitstamp.net. Next I use Poloniex and cryptopia to trade with many other altcoins - no serious problem with these exchanges. I rarely use yobit or coinexchange.

One of the smooth and trustworthy exchange I'll recommend for you is cobinhood. Bit Z is also nice but their transaction fees are damn high.
