I don't think its a good idea to pay btc for a fried chicken, i mean why would i spend Bitcoin for a meal if i can just use my fiat money, a meal on KFC is not that much so I don't think its necessary for us to use Bitcoin in this fast food chain, well unless you'll be holding a party for tons of people then paying Bitcoin would do. Though I really like the idea that they're adopting to the cryptocurrencies, this means that Bitcoin is being widely accepted bit by bit.

This is a great advancement for bitcoin because it only means that some large companies/establishments are now noticing it's potentials which they used for improving their service quality.
KFC'e intention was good but honestly, using bitcoin as a form of payment for fast food chains was not a good idea. Imagine if that would be implemented, you are not only going to pay the bucket of chicken itself but you also need to pay the transaction fee ( it costs more than before, right?). And besides, I think the payment process will slow down also if we shift to btc because giving the money over the counter is still much faster than sending btc where you need to wait couple of minutes first before receiving the payment.
Anyway this still a nice idea after all, just need to be furnished a little bit more.

Just bumping onto this topic and it is really a great news to hear that there is big fast food restaurant company accepting it now. And I think in just short amount of time many big names on the industry even just not in food will aembrace and accept bitcoin as the future of currency. If many would come to invest bitcoins value would increase again.

KFC is one of the best and popular fast food chains here in the Philippines.
I think if they accept the cryptocurrency there will have an edge in their competitors since they provide more convenient way on how to pay their orders and ease the process.

its good news that KFC such big fried chicken restaurant accept bitcoin and i will support it. but what i am saying now is i dont want to pay anything with my bitcoin because its slow now and high fee. i am waiting for lightning network being implemented. |

If this is true then this could help the popularity of bitcoin among its users. Many are now using bitcoins but it is not the majority yet. Most people wouldn't want to use it because of the fear of getting scammed, or getting hacked. Maybe somehow this will eventually lead to opening the new era of bitcoins where it will be now accepted as a form of online currency among many or of the whole world.

Wow. This is amazing. This idea of accepting bitcoin as terms of payment between orders is kind of innovative because we are also dealing with the techie generation nowadays. I hope that KFC in our country also accept bitcoin.

Unfortunately the Indonesian state has not been able to receive bitcoin payments for fast food restaurants. Like KFC, of course the government does not want to fall and disappear, we know that the rupiah is the state currency that is guarded by the law so why Indonesia can not accept the bitcoin in but only part of the area that received it but not for all corners of Indonesia ...

the problem that occurs here is when kfc and the person who will buy for example the cow has a different bitcoin wallet. Because as we all know, bitcoin has a confirmation when you send some bitcoins to other wallets.

This is a good idea for some, could be seen as a mass wealth reversal by big companies and franchises, in that matter I wonder what happens to the BTC, does it get converted to USD, and then credited to the stores, or do KFC hold the BTC as a banking and holding move? It would be nice to see the blockchain addresses for at least some sort of transparency. We will probably see this in the future. McDonald next then?

It does not matter whether it can be done well and can provide good service also facilitate the consumer if they just memegan bitcoin because it can make payment using bitcoin and will be good for bitcoin holders. If it is in KFC receive then hopefully other restaurants can follow it  |
