Yes. It is posible but you can recover it by helping a recovery option like gmail of your bff when put her gmail you can recover your acct. Unless the hacker did not change the password of your account.

I think its not possible to recover the hacked account because the hacker will change the email address etc and you can not access the account anymore, Just try to use the strong password so no one can hack your account, dont use common password which can easily breaks, use special keys/symbol and numbers in your password to make it stronger.

If the account is hacked, it's hard enough to return it, unless you apply the Secret Question. If indeed your account has been hacked, you better contact the moderator, and ask the moderator to act on the account, so that no unwanted things happen.
