Hi all,

I am trying to create a new altcoin, I started with a fork from litecoin, I have build my new coin successfully with the new genesis and servers seems to work as expected, but I got stuck in the final step, the initial mining.....

I tried to start mining with a single node running as server but i got the "not connected" error then i started another node in a different server and connect them together using the addnode command, then when i try to mine it says "downloading blocks" which doesn't make much of a sense as there are no blocks yet to download.

I read about having to change the time of the genesis to the future (but i guess that will mean to change the current genesis) and seems like a bit of a hack, so just wondering what are the options for an initial mining?

Thanks a lot for your help in advance Smiley
