A committee appointed by the government last year to examine issues related to cryptocurrency has submitted its report, a senior law ministry official said on Thursday.

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

No one can predict what is in the report till it comes out. I think that it would be better if we wait for some time and see the final response made by Indian government. As per the responses made so far, I think that they will continue with the present situation only. They will neither declare it legal or illegal and people will continue investing in Bitcoins in India.
