The grue lurks in the darkest places of the earth. Its favorite diet is adventurers, but its insatiable appetite is tempered by its fear of light. No grue has ever been seen by the light of day, and few have survived its fearsome jaws to tell the tale.

If you are interested in selling bitcoins, please see my buying thread here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=274222.0

I am selling BTC and will update this thread with my current stock and price as it changes over time.

Currently available amount of Bitcoins:
0 BTC

Current pricing:
Since, the spread between Gox and BitStamp pricing varies, you'll pay whichever of the following is cheaper for you:
  • BitStamp_last + 5%
  • MtGox_last + 5%
Discounts available for large value purchases.

Payment methods I will accept:

1. Cash in Mail- You send me cash via Priority or Express mail. We lock in price and I release BTC when received.

2. U.S. postal money order in Mail - You purchase a U.S. postal money order and send it to me via First Class postage. We lock in price and I release BTC when received.

3. Western Union You send me money via Western Union for same day pickup at agent location, once picked up I release the BTC. Maximum $900 per day. Currently still available today $900.

4. MoneyGram You send me money via MoneyGram for same day pickup at agent location, once picked up I release the BTC. Maximum $900 per day. Currently still available today $900.

5. Greater Chicagoland meetup We meet up and trade cash for my bitcoins. Travel fee of $0.50 per mile if I have to travel more than 10 miles to meet you.

6. Suggest other options I'm willing to consider other options that result in cash in my hands without first passing through my bank or PayPal.

Once payment is confirmed received I will release the bitcoins you purchased to your desired bitcoin address.

How do I contact you?
PM me here to buy me BTC, I will make you a quote and if you accept we will proceed with the transaction.
You can also find me on localbitcoins.com: https://localbitcoins.com/accounts/profile/danny.hamilton/
If you already have my txt number or email from a previous deal, you can use that to contact me as well.

Who sends first?
You send payment first unless you're JohnK.

Will you accept escrow?
Yes, but you pay the escrow fees.  At the moment the only escrow providers I'll accept are: John K., Kluge, OgNasty, (and of course myself  Grin )
See my Escrow thread found below in my signature for more details on my reputation.

Do you have a minimum or maximum we can buy from you?
The maximum for Western Union and MoneyGram are listed above. The maximum for any other payment methods is whatever the amount of BTC I have available to purchase which is also highlighted above.  There is no minimum, but I reserve the right to refuse to deal with someone who becomes abusive (example of "abusive": requesting $5 of bitcoin repeatedly).

I will sign a message with my GPG key (public key found in my Escrow thread in my signature) before agreeing to a trade beforehand every time. Make sure to check the message as many people on here have been hacked at one point or another.

I suppose I could find a way to do so if someone required me to, but why?

I'll buy 10 btc.bank deposit. PM

You'll notice that bank deposit is NOT one of the acceptable payment methods listed in my post.

Furthermore you'll see that I specifically state in item number 6:

- snip -
I'm willing to consider other options that result in cash in my hands without first passing through my bank or PayPal.

Just curious what's the problem with it passing through your bank? Just wondering if there's a particular reason.

Mostly personal preference.

Also, many users reporting issues such as this:

Got letter today from U.S. bank (usbank.com) saying because i use my accounts to buy bitcoins they are closing my accounts.

OK thanks,

Do you think I will have trouble finding a BTC seller for my GreenDot?  I am trying to buy for a friend but if this subforum doesnt like GreenDot for some reason then I will just sell my friend some of my bits.
