They all say "get bitcoins" at the end of the description.
There are dozens of videos being uploaded right now, and in the last few hours that are all tagged with bitcoin and seem to be some kind of lure. Not sure the reason behind it though.

These are just some of the uploader names. They are all obviously spam accounts.
I'm wondering what the reason for this is.

Are they virus or trojan infected posts.
One time I got a virus just from clicking on a youtube video.
I'm wondering if anyone can figure out the motivation for this?
I'm kind of hesitant to click on them, myself.

I guess bitcoin is hitting the 'big time' if spammers are using it as bait. Not really happy about it, though. Or as other threads suggest, another facet to the anti-bitcoin psyops? I wouldn't be surprised.

Not really happy about it, though.

Why not? Anyone who falls for this shit deserves it. On the other hand, any publicity is good publicity.

Help Bitcoins by buying clothes, technology, books, etc. through people/stores that accept BTC. This will increase overall value of BTC as well as mitigate unnecessary bank transaction fees.

I dislike spammers and predatory online practices. Don't think it would be a positive force for bitcoin.

lol. Those names are from unusual name gen on TOR.

It has a google-harvested set of unusual names and will mix them with numbers into 'believable' usernames if you are too lazy to think of your own. Spammers sell it for $1 worth of BTC

Either those spam bots were put there to spread a virus, or this is just another way to make Bitcoins look bad by associating it with spam.

It's probably just a lame tactic to stop people from finding the latest legit Bitcoin videos because all the latest results are 90% all junk.

Also note the style in which these videos are made: they take titles from older videos from real users, and even retains the same minute lengths. But instead of any content, it's just random stills from TV shows.

Ask not what Bitcoin can do for you - ask what you can do for Bitcoin.

I would imagine there must be some ultimate motivation for it.
It's either because some links hidden in all of them put together, have a link to some virus or
perhaps they are trying to drown out the possibility of so easily finding legit bitcoin material.
It's a shame people do this because it does in fact discourage people from looking when video after video is junk baloney. I suggest everyone report them as spam.

I've emailed bitcoin 7 many times about spam.  They say that it might be illegal to delete the spammers.

I have a feeling this is intended to do exactly what is happening, bitcoiners flagging the videos as spam...
What is the single thing that relates all these videos and can be 'scanned' on by youtube...?

Exactly, the term "bitcoin" ...

So, they are trying to get anything that involves "bitcoin" in the title or description banned... just my theory...

haha, get your tin foil hat back on.

The person spamming is not being restricted any benefits of said spamming.  This comes from the company themselves (just read that above a couple of posts).  So, everyone else needs to join in on spamming up YouTube with their referral links Smiley

The signing up is just a program that I'm sure anyone here can get a hold of using the right search terms, hit up blackhatworld.   If no one is going to stop the YouTube abuse, join in with your referral links.
