I think it is quite difficult for the country to ban it. Because there are too many people in it. Even we could not do that in one country, we can do it in another. And the infor may not rumor because there are a lot of country want to ban it.

They have the power to do that but they will make further investigation first before doing such things.

It is possible in one country and people can't do that in their own country. But we can do that in other country so in fact one country can not ban the people to buy it.

Yes. But it undergo a series of research and investigation before banning. And it is something citizen cannot control. They can control banks nationwide. What I can see now is they want to put tax in it.

They probably can ban it in some specific region. But should they? Of course not!

Also even if they do it's interesting to see if people would come up with an alternative. So all in all banning it would be a horrible idea.

yup possibly if the government will track that there is someone who makes the economy deplete and fluctuates
if that happens government will attract and be alarmed on whats is happening. they can ban bitcoin or limit bitcoin withdrawals like what is happening here in Philippines. the exchange that is accredited by the the BSP is limiting us on withdrawals and exchanging to fiat . just monitoring haha

Yes it is possible especially if it is a strict country and since it is still decentralized once it will be centralized the government have the power and authority to ban bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies.

If this happens, then the whole meaning of bitcoins will be lost. Because they will not differ from ordinary paper money.

Banning bitcoin to a country could not be impossible. Things right now are unimaginably happening even if we haven't these things will happened even before. Countries usually do it are culturally strict or have different ways like other countries around.

Yeah you right, the power to ban the bitcoin is in the hand of the government but government can't stop bitcoin users on its country to have bitcoin holdings.

A country might not be able to ban bitcoin itself but the usage of bitcoin, some communist countries might do that or have already done that.

well, I think a country could be banned Bitcoin, but at least they can think ahead, because this is the digital era, the era where we live in a virtual world, so it will not give any effect on bitcoin trading, bitcoin will return to 20,000 USD even more

They can only ban fiat <-> crypto gateways. It's not possible to ban or regulate what happens on the blockchain. Plus, if a country bans Bitcoin/crypto, people looking to invest in the next industrial revolution (crypto) will just move into countries that don't.

I think one day bitcoin or altcoin will be really banned by a big country. I heard also that now china and korea have banned bitcoin in it's country. Overall will impact the bitcoin price going down which we are feeling now.
I hope this is not really happen, I'm very sad if bitcoin will be banned, because I was give everything from kill time, money, and place for bitcoin.

With a lot of news around this days about some countries banning bitcoin and so on. Is it actually possible for a country to ban bitcoin or other altcoins? Or the news are just rumor from some people that want the price to deep so they can scoop enough of the coin at deep.
If you are using bitcoin in illegal way, then they can ban bitcoin especially in transaction in which affect the economy of one country. Banning bitcoin entirely in one country is possible, because government can regulate bitcoin in encasment in the bank and all money encashment agency.

No, only bitcoin trading but not the concept of bitcoin or the access to bitcoin. To get around that you can then use a VPN, etc. But having a ban also has a very big impact. We have been able to observe this very well in the last few days.
