Im not an expert, but believe in your own strategy. I ussualy just do arbitage, im not really can do buy hold and sell trade. I just take an advantages from different price for one coin at several market and take profit from it

I don't have any trading strategies. I only invest in ICO, because I can't stand the volatility of the short-term altcoin price, so I choose to invest in ICO, so I don't need to pay attention to the price of altcoin.

My only advice is that "leave day trading to experts". Day trading is too much hassle for regular people like me and you in my opinion. Holding is best strategy. For most altcoins. Anyways there are hyped/rumored coins like iota or verge where you can buy just to sell a month later.

This is mostly difficult. Although I heard there are bots that do arbitrage well, don't know how true.

A lot of ICOs prices do fall drastically when they hit exchange. I personally have like 3 of such.

In both cryptocurrency trading strategy is same in this platform. It is difficult to understand in new trader. If you want to trade altcoins. First you should prepare chart. The chart is segregate and remain the every trading. But it is one type of gambling. This will help for big profit or it make big loss. So before to trade you should developing your trading skills. In many sites are explained in different set of answer. But you should study and understand exact need in trading.

Now that Kraken is back online again, I'm considering day trading as a viable strategy (until the end of January). The site is now offering zero trading fees for all clients, so it's suddenly much more economical to make lots of small trades on a daily basis without having to worry about the fees piling up.

Hmm. For me, if you would do day trading, don't wait for a big profit, 1 to 10 % percent change is enough. Short-term holding - trading.

These days it seems the best ideas is to trade small amounts, experimental ones, or to make gas funds. For most altcoins... Holding seems like the best strategy.

I am on to expert giving suggestion only
First thing in which exchange we are going to trade what are the trading fees we are paying to exchange.
try to get the idea of trading from the small investment but hold it for some time at least then sell off.
look at graphs where it dumps and where it pumps real all news and media about coin specially telegram group announcements
Day trading gives 1-10% return but long term hold gives better return as compare to Day trading.
Anyone remember Blue Coin ? My friend received 10,000 coins and he sold on etherdelta and Received 0.1 Eth on that day. Now that 10,000 coins are actually worth 10 Eth. even i got 1000 coins its worth 1 Eth today.
