I would suggest HODLING all your bitcoins and altcoins for a long period of time and sell only if absolutely necessary. I have learnt this lesson the hard way recently when I sold a particular altcoin for a low value recently and since then, its value has skyrocketed like crazy making me regret my decision. The thing is that HODLING is a tough game, but much better than day trading since it involves way less stress and has the potential to make you rich in the long run provided you are ready to take the risk.

Hmm. For me, if you would do day trading, don't wait for a big profit, 1 to 10 % percent change is enough. Short-term holding - trading.
