to Spot good crypto here are the following ways
1- Check the Founder of the that ICO read full story. (Sometimes its matter we check this info)
2- How much he spent on advertising , more he spent more price will rise (some times its opp.)
3- look at roadmap
4- look at company details - from how many year they are working .
5- They offer Android app? (Not complusry)
Recently AIX price just went to 10x when it listed on coincapmarket from 0.34$(pre sale price)

6- have they given out Free bounty? only small amount of tokens (Avoid tokens which offer large amount free of cost)
7- Check the total market supply of particular token (always check this)
if supply is very large you can calculate ATH price of that token and you can invest from your way
8- Look at press release  (Example : Telegram going to offer own coin)

Like most other things, try to determine if you can put a face to the owner of the ICO. Believe me, it does matter in the end,

because there are a lot of scams out there. I am not saying the "verified" ICO's will not turn scam, but the probability is less

than the ones you cannot identify. The ICO's that are doing the best at the moment are the ones that are promoting the

adoption of Bitcoin use in some way. {People get some return for their investment, when this ICO promote adoption and the

price rise, even if the ICO fail}  Grin

There is no way to spot a good ICO as much as there is no way to spot a good IPO. Most sources out there are just press releases.

Among all the ones that have been listed, checking the background of the CEO, the advisers and the rest of team members is necessary to checkmate fraud or scam. You need to check the product or services they intend to sell or render to the public.

actually it depends how pre sale and sale. if pre sale and sale succeed, then ICO is good, and it depends how developer and team effort.
but at least there are some tips to see a good ICO, an experienced manager, price rate, and token sales target.

Extensive research must be done before you decide to invest in an ICO, you should even talk to the people in charge before you decide on investing and make sure those involved are reputable in the crypto world for a long time.

Experience and network of the founding team and quality of the developer team is the key factor for good ICOs. I think it is mostly about team, idea does not matter much alone.

it is really very difficult to determine and find which icpto ico is good and will be successful, but you can learn and assume your own by looking at the whitepaper of the project.

Hello. I like to see if the team members speak at a public event (is there a stream or is it an interview). Then i see if like the idea and if the have a prototype. Also the hype is a good indicator (but you have to do your own research, always)

Cheers

That is probably one of the most difficult things to answer, examining the white paper and if there is any big competition in the market are fundamental and also to investigate the developers, but at the end of the day some projects become successful while others do not and it is difficult to pinpoint the reason.

maybe you should follow the whales and the top bounty manager to tip what is a good and not ICO, but you should be the number one responsible if its too risky.
by the way just learn and do your own research dont trust other higher than your self

Like other have said, looking at the founder and his experience of doing business plays a major role.

Secondly, the whitepaper of the ICO. Not the vocabulary of the words used but their plans. Since not all of them are American and English isn't their first language, their grammar could be bad but their ideas could be really well.

Thirdly, the amount of hype they are creating, how many people are actually talking about them? Do you think it has the potential to grow big?

Lastly, your gut feeling. No matter how much you research, it's almost a gamble at the end of the day. And you should only invest in it if you think it would grow further.

First of all, it is important to see the creators and team members of ico, as well as their previous experience, and of course, the contents of the white paper.

Now the ICO is full of cheaters, to distinguish a good ICO. I think the key is the team. Only the team is strong and clear division of labor, it is possible to advance their work in accordance with the white paper. In addition, the advisory team is very important, and a well-known investor in the digital currency field has a huge impact on a ICO.

The first thing I watch for is the idea, if it promotes some kind of ultra technology, I automatically know that is is shit. For example there was/is a ICO which states that they will develop and manufacture new age batteries. Cmon!

If the idea is appealing, i start researching the ann, the webpage , after that i believe it is fairly simple to see if they are good project but i never invest after few days research , i wait and and watch the project and than decide.

I would like to add a few points.

1. Technology: check the technology and whitepaper. You can guess if it is doable or total bullshit.

2. Milestones: Most roadmaps contain concrete deliverables and then fade into futuristic hocus pocus. See how far are those concrete deliverables. You can guess the price will increase up to that point.
