You lose money if you invest money. Not all traders actually got their holdings from previous exchanges and transactions. Others actually buy them straight from people, if not, buy bitcoins in some business entities and trade it for altcoins with the aim to actually trade it for profit. Also, I think you are taking trading lightly by saying that you can just make a move or hold your coins until such time it increases value for you to hold it because that is exactly what's making it difficult. The cryptocurrency market is unpredictable that anything may happen in mere minutes or seconds, that's what make it action-packed, but also, it gives more difficulty for traders to expect what would happen next.

so I think the point is patience,
in trading up and down the price is common and that makes us lose our money is to sell when our price falls from when we buy, if we are patient and wait for the price to recover or increase then we will never lose. so in trade we should be able to control our emotions and do not easily panic.

Losses in trading is a risk that must be experienced by every trader. buy with high prices and sell when the price is low, must have lost. and everyone understands that. and when we buy at a higher price, then the price goes down for days. The truth is to avoid losses in this very simple matter. we just need to be patient with our coins until the price recovers. Because if we trade, not only need to speculate, but courage and patience are also important.

You only lose in trading if you have a very weak emotion and you can't handle crashes. You will panic easily and eventually will sold all your coins. Another thing are shitcoins. You can daytrade them but if you get stuck then say bye to you money.

You are correct with your last argument that if you bought a certain coin at a high price then you will definitely be losing when the price dumps, but the loss will certainly be recovered if you will not sell and instead hold such coin until such time that it will bounce back. That is correct and that is the wisest thing to do, except perhaps during occasion when the coin is already about to die, which very seldom happens.

For me I have made my losses because of investment into unwanted coins or the coins which turned out to be fishy over the course of time. That was like zero profits and no return if inevstment at all.

In other instances I have lost my money because I bought the coins at very high prices and they are still struggling to recahed to that high rate and cross it now. I'm still holding these coins but the market survey says that they won't go beyond my entry point. But let's have hopes and we can catch the fish.

Now onwards I only invest into coins which I do think that can do best over the course of time, reading is very important when it comes to investing into alts.

If you buy it and never sold anything you neither lose or gain a profit.  You just lose an equivalent value when the price go down and gain it when the price is up.  Sometimes FUD take over the market and people are forced to sell it due to panic and that will definitely make them lost a profit in trading.  But this is quite easy to control, we just need to do our assignment by researching the market first before buying our item to trade.  Then, do not belong to those who have weak hands that easily sell when a sign of dip is seen.

The basic in trading is buy low and sell high, that should be followed and timing is necessary to do it right.

to reduce the chance of losing . try to follow the suggestions of others if you are not sure on your decision . the other way is to check the marketcap everyday to make sure that the coin that you will buy will be worth

Loss and win is a part of game and its the quality of best player that he is accepting both cases with happiness. every people which doing trading should have loss experience and not just you and I am sure that we still try to recover our loss and some of us is already recover and even they can make a profit. but the important things here is not just about a loss but what we do to recover our losses and how good we can learn from our loss so we can increase our skill in trading. and if we can learn something from our loss, then I am sure that we can prevent to lose again in the future.
