I have uploaded to my github repository the tools I use for configuring my cgminer clusters with Puppet and monitoring them using Nagios: https://github.com/daemondazz/bitcoin-utils

The puppet scripts support automatically installing the GPU or non-GPU build of cgminer depending on if an AMD video card is detected (I only have 7870's and 7950's, so feedback on other device identifiers may be needed) and configuring the pool details from within Puppet.

The Nagios script is designed to be run via NRPE (does not require the API port open to the Internet) and returns feedback on the number of devices and pools that are detected and working and the total 5s average hashrate for the node. Future expansion plans are to also output Nagios performance information which could then be fed into something like Splunk.

If you need Nagios monitoring, the company I run can provide this service (payable using Bitcoin), with monitoring access to your miners performed over an IPSEC or GRE tunnel, access to our Nagios web interface and unlimited email alerts. Contact me for more information.
