It should be a good year for litecoin. Be patient and hold them! I've considered selling mine in the past and I'm glad I've held onto them.

Are you serious? Litecoin was in single digits at the beginning of 2017. It's already grown hugely, I can only assume that you bought in after it had pumped massively and just assumed it would continue. It won't. If you bought in near the top and are hoping to profit then you're going to have to hold for some time.
