This is the beginning of the end. Blockchain is the missing piece.

Blockchain will allow AI to propagate itself without human control. Blockchain is a special kind of distributed computing, except that code on the blockchain can run on machines that it doesn't need to trust, so it can spread without centralized control. AI + the blockchain means that one day we will have AI outside of anyone's control, and it will be unstoppable.

Now even crazier/better -- maybe Satoshi himself was AI, sent from the future by the robots to get us into blockchain technology. Why send a human being or a physical robot? Just send code and messages.
