Hello guys! At friday I received my parts for my first mining rig and since today I've started building it up!
I have received 6 x https://www.amazon.de/Sapphire-11265-21-20G-Grafikkarte-GDDR5-schwarz/dp/B073F1286D/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1515868782&sr=8-2&keywords=rx+580+8gb+sapphire one of which was DOA sadly and now I have to return it, but nevermind that's not the case.
I ran all 5 cards on stock and they were all 29-30mh/s, all with Micron memory.
Don't really know why, maybe I got greedy, but I wanted to BIOS mod the cards to receive the extra hashes.
I downloaded all of the necessary programs and it all went okay. All cards were running ETH @ 31.5-32.5mh/s.
So I decided to attach 4 of them, because my PSU sadly doesn't have enough 8p+6p power connectors and I was able to mount only 4 of the cards.
I ran the miner to see what's up, while my Decred wallet was still syncing and saw that all cards were down to 20mh/s. I disconnected all of the cards and ran them again one by one, just to see if there is a compatibility issue somewhere, but sadly now even if they are ran one by one, they are running at 21mh/s TOPS.
Could anyone please tell me what exactly has gone wrong? I am fairly new to this game, I have only watched youtube videos for a month and read in forums like this one, but I have never ever had experience with such stuff. Also I think I am also having issues with Trixx and MSI AB, because no matter what I do, the power draw does not drop below 115W no matter what.
I was watching guide and followed the steps exactly as the dudes on the video and now everything went down the drain.
Could anyone possible help me with this probem?

I would like to thank you all in advance for taking your time reading my problem. I really hope you guys would be able to help me out!
Cheers!

Check your drivers setting, ensure that in wattman game settting into compute mode is enabled if you are using Relive 17.10.2, I don't think its a bad modding issues.

otherwise you may try to revert back using Blockchain drivers Aug using DDU

Okay, I was with Win10-64Bit-Crimson-ReLive-Beta-Blockchain-Workloads-Aug23 at the moment and I am getting 29mh/s. The 20mh/s were with the adrenaline driver from dec11.
So the cards are running all 29mh/s, but they are drawing 880w from the wall, which from my researches a 6GPU rig dual mining ETH+SIA should be around 1020-1050.
I tried dual minig ETH+DCR, but the cards are drawing 1150 and they get 65-70C hot and the fans are constantly at 70%.
Could anyone suggest a BIOS mod, so that the cards could be running normally?

It is not as much the bios mod that makes your problems, more it is your configuration of the miner. You have to do some undervolting of your gpu clock and mem. If you do no undervolting, your cards need a lot of current! You can do undervolting directly with the miner software or with tools like OverdriveNTool, but you have to keep in mind, that if you run several tools which controll your gpu core and mem clock settings, they influence each other and that makes big problems!

there is obviously overclocking, Vaisha cards show 31-32 but a lot of GPU memory errors take off / look at them using HWinfo64. And you can understand how much you need to reduce the hash for stable operation

Hello guys.

First of all, thank you for the great work done here sharing information.

I've bought two brand new  Sapphire RX 580 Nitro + 8GB with Mícron memory chips.

The Mh rate is different in each one of them with the same bios mod.

One of them 31.1 Mh with  Afterburner 4.4.2 parameters like: Core Voltage (mV) = -125; Power Limit (%) = -8; Temp. Limit (ºC) = 65; Core Clock (MHz) = 1175; Memory Clock (MHz) = 2141; Power Consumption = 111 Watts

The other 29.1 Mh with  Afterburner 4.4.2 parameters like: Core Voltage (mV) = -137; Power Limit (%) = -7; Temp. Limit (ºC) = 67; Core Clock (MHz) = 1340; Memory Clock (MHz) = 2250; Power Consumption = 105 Watts

I have another Sapphire RX 580 Nitro + 8GB with Hynix memory chips with astonishing values:
31.5 Mh with  Afterburner 4.4.2 parameters like: Core Voltage (mV) = 0; Power Limit (%) = -7; Temp. Limit (ºC) = 67; Core Clock (MHz) = 1198; Memory Clock (MHz) = 2250; Power Consumption = 105 Watts  Shocked

It's weird but that's the values I got after 1 week tunning the three.

Any comments?
