Is Telegram really secure?

I just read on google searches.   There is mixed information.   How can these pump and dump scam groups hide behind Telegram?    Some say it's not really a good way to do secret chats.   

They don't even enable the secret chats by default.   Yet they claim it's secure.

Unless they have encrypted every message in their database and other privacy secure.

I believe it is pretty secure. I mean I haven't done much research regarding its security but when I use the application, I feel pretty secured.

I think the telegram is safer than facebook, there will be no virus in it

also do you think whatsapp is safe ? the answer is no .problems happen when going into groups because professional can steal accs or info related to it .

If that's the case, then Telegram should address that before they even launched their plan of having an ICO. But for me, Telegram is way safe than Slack.

For me its kinda secure since all airdrops rquired participants to register there. Just like other messanger telegram is the same. Secure for me

Security is much more better than Facebook.... No one can poke your files inside.... Not like messenger...

I think telegram is more secure than other software. What I heard is they encrypted every message from users.
