Nothing can be done in this case. Private key is essential for recovery of the wallet.

You will need somebody who can try to brute force that passphrase. Do you have any clue about what you might put in the passphrase, how long is it? Because what brute forcing is actually you try to crack the passphrase by trying various variations of possible solutions for the passphrase. If you remember some parameters it could take less amount of time to crack that particular passphrase. You could literally break anything by brute forcing, the only downside is that it takes a lot of time to crack the password.

I don't really know any tool that can brute force this, I mean there are some online, can find few posted even here on forum but since I have never tried any of them I don't know how reliable they are.

Hopefully I gave you a good clue to start, good luck and always save and have backup of your private keys that are easily recoverable in future!! You might think coins are worthless but who knows if particular coin will pump in future, it could being you nice return!

Don't listen to these people "it can't be recovered", since they don't know what brute force even means lol.

By the way have your forgotten passphrase like BIP39/44? Or you forgot the passphrase you used to encrypt your wallet with?

That's quite a lot of money to lose. It happens. It happened to me it's happened to many people. Please backuo your private keys by printing it out. Never ever think of using a wallet untill you have at least 2 backups. One on us and one printed out. You need to do this so you can ensure this never happens again. I'm sorry for your loss.

I think if you lose your private key there is no recovery on it and in that case you will lose your wallet.

This service could help if the OP can remember how long the passphrase is, or whether it only contained number and letter characters.

If Dave is to busy, you can also our service https://uwsoftware.be/index.php/bitcoin-recovery-service/.
But be advised, only give it to persons you trust! As there are not a lot of trustless mechanism already developed for altcoins.

But you only can get help, if you have still a wallet. Because you cannot recover your private key from your public key.
But you can recover your encrypted wallet by your password (if you your password is humanly weak)

Sorry for your loss mate. In future make sure you keep 2 paper backups stored in separate locations of all your 2fa seed keys and private keys. Dont ever store these on your email or something
