Is there any web site where you can play chess and gamble bitcoins?

I don't think that would be a good idea, it's impossible to beat the computer on chess. Guess what people will do, once they can play it on the internet for money?
So probably there is no such site.

Isn't the same possible with poker though?

I would be interested in a GO site. Due to the difficulty of the game the chess problem should not occur there.

There is still some luck involved, but probably it's a big problem in poker, too. (I'm no poker player, so I don't know how serious of a problem it is).
In chess it would be a 100% win unless you fight against another computer (then a draw probably).

Botting in poker is not very profitable.  Bots can be exploited, and most bots will lose money over time.  There is no perfect poker bot.

Wouldn't really work well due to chess-bots

If you want to make a wager on a friendly game of chess though, I suggest posting a proposal under the gambling section. I'm not very good but I might take you up on it some time.

EDIT: markjamrobin and I have engaged in a game on chess.com for a 5mbtc wager each.  Smiley

If you play online with other humans for Bitcoins, that would be great! I don't know there's a site like that but, if you know one let me know via pm.

A Go site that would let you wager in BTC would be interesting... but chess is definitely too easy to bot for that to work very well. Unfortunately. Because it would be pretty cool, too.

Did I help you out, or otherwise say something useful? A handful of satoshis are a great way to say thanks! - Address: 18JUKdmE1Satf8HJUU3pf7iu5ymQX8AzER

haha I suppose if you know from the beginning that it's all about having the best bot, rather than using your brain, then it's fair...
