There is a growing demand for ETH and this will cause early ETH prices to reach new highs in 2018. Personally I would only invest in ETH because this altcoin is still very cheap at the moment and we can totally trust a future ahead for ETH.

I think there is a reason for the rise of eth. In the early stage, it went up slowly, and now it is starting to make up for it.

I've always believed that ETH is heavily undervalued since it is probaly one of the 5 or 6 altcoins that will most likely survive in the long-term as a cyprocurrency with real use case that will get widespread adoption, so it's nice to see the price going up even when the rest of the market is going down (though, at the moment of this post, it seems like ETH is catching up and has started to go down).
Although, I don't think the price increased because of Goldman Sachs.

Cliches and single line from the establishment will never validate  what we already know as the truth.  Cryptocurrency does not need establishment for it's promotion.  Cryptocurrency will eventually replace these greedy establishment  and give economy power to the people.

Yes ether is the best option as  i am finding currenctly because there is lots of successful projects running on ethereum blockchain even most of the crypto transaction and ICO investment happening through ethereum . So ethereum will surely worth more than 3000$ some where between 2018.
