Hey there, Today I'm releasing a BTC and LTC ticker for OS X. It sits on the menu bar, displaying there the last price for the first currency, the other currencies can be seen upon clicking on the price. Right now, it supports 16 combinations of currencies (eg. BTC/USD, LTC/BTC, BTC/EUR…, more info on the webpage: http://ibittler.github.io/CoinNotify/) from 4 different exchanges – if you want others, just say it . You can set the update interval and the (maximum) number of decimals it displays. https://i.imgur.com/wBiJJ0Q.pngThe code is completely open-sourced on its Github page: https://github.com/ibittler/CoinNotify. You can download it here: https://github.com/ibittler/CoinNotify/releases/ (click the first button to download the compiled version) If you like the app and you'd like to contribute to the development, you may send a donation to: 12DLbJY48o5vFn3f7eDy7g98yPfo215W4b – if you send one, you can PM me or reply this thread so I'll put you "Thanks" section of the webpage. Finally, let me know your thoughts and suggestions for this app.

Yes, if you need another currency or exchange just say it and I'll try to implement it.

It should work with Mavericks fine, I mean, I haven't tested it yet, but it's not using any deprecated or old feature.

Yes, if you need another currency or exchange just say it and I'll try to implement it. Cryptsy would be nice... And as far as coin wise, they have a retarded amount, but im only looking at btc, ltc, ftc, ifc, and str.

I've contacted them so I could get an URL to request a single ticker for each currency they offer, because currently they only offer a single URL of almost 1MB with all the quotes and the latest orders, and parsing 1MB of JSON every few seconds would be a huge battery overkill and an inefficiency.

I am not a techie at all and I am wanting to know if this is open source. Do the people that have downloaded it know that there are no malware or trojans in it that could cause harm. I'm sure there isn't I just wouldn't know how to check.

Thanks very much, I will donate something for you efforts.

It's now saying Bitstamp price is $0.00 I hope that's not right. I think it was a Bitstamp server error. Right now, I can see the real price in CoinNotify.
