hmm let's see Segwit will actually be integrated this year, some other improvements to help scaling a bit plus private transactions might be implemented later this year, Lightning Network might go live by end of the year (though probably won't have much of a network until next year). People will keep piling into crypto all year as well. Seems to me things will be very bright for bitcoin.
Don't says that bitcoin is going into death this 2018, because many people will suffered with that. Because more of the users are quit in jobs due to they focused in bitcoin and other crypto currencies, I think if the bitcoin closed more people lost their job and economy of more countries will possible to be affected. However I was not believe that this speculation coming true.

Because more of the users are stayed and continue buying bitcoin in digital country due to they believe that in the future it was raising up and back to their $20,000 value. In my own bitcoin cannot death.
It's really impossible to happen, ot jist need to chill and soon will be back on track, bitcoin is the maon crypto and O doubt that it will be soon put, it will always leas, just a mere of manipulation happening now.

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

We can say that the air bubble has almost burst. many users seeing the price of 20,000 dollars immediately rushed to make investments in the hope of even greater growth Bitcoin. And today it has dropped to 11,000 dollars. I really do not want all this to be a big scam.

I don't think bitcoin will ever die. How should it die? even with a price of less than 1 cent and no usecase, still there will be at least 2 people using it on earth I guess.

I've voted it no. Exactly people are something doubted with bitcoin right due it's dip fall that we have experience in fast few days but then, itis not the reason that make bitcoin from disappearing in the market. Bitcoin makes great history in forms of investment and I know a lot of people still believing and giving a full support for this coin. It may sometimes goes like that and we have to accept this.

and yet I'm not sure that the final death of bitcoin will come sometime. In general, although I see that any huge price for Bitcoin is not a sick air bubble. I can not understand the value of a coin so that it has a price in the region from $ 10,000 to $ 20,000. But for Bitcoin predicts even more.

If bitcoin dies then other crypto currencies will follow it and die too. Because majority of the coins price depend on bitcoins value and it is a standard crypto currency that in a way decides the price of other cryptos and bitcoin has seen worse drops than the current one and came back to normal after a period of time. So it is totally incorrect to say that 2018 might be bitcoins last year.

Can you elaborate on what it means for bitcoin to die? Does that mean the network no longer operates? Or is it a certain amount of price decrease? Do you say, define "death" as $5,000? (this would still be 450% above the last ATH). Did bitcoin die in 2014? (RIP bitcoin)

Bitcoin is still in its childhood, it has to survive for a long long time. Still less than 1% of the totally population know about bitcoin while the rest still do not have any idea, but very soon all the people will start using bitcoin as bitcoin users are now spread in all over the world and they are really introducing bitcoin in a good way, i think that bitcoin will remain for a long long time because bitcoin is the first most crypto currency of the world..

Why would it be? The price is extra cheap right now, i do not think that it is the death just like a lot of people are saying right now.. this is just another opportunity to buy for a cheap price, nothing more than that. Just buy, and hold for some time.

After you joined the community of bitcoin, invested your money and put all your faith in it and now you turned out to be like in a fearful situation? I thought you already know that you can lose and earn here then why wouldyou ask that thing?  It looks like you didn't learn even a little.

2018 is death of bitcoin?

do u agree?

I disagree,
Why is the world going to end in 2018?
The Bitcoin 2017 has grown to a large extent. Now its price dropped to $ 9000.Today Bitcoin price is $ 11500. Changes in price will occur.
That does not mean that Bitcoin will be destroyed.Death for Bitcoin is never there.

It's really funny to see thread coming alive and resurrected and says that bitcoin will be dead specially when the price is on a deep crash like we have seen a couple of days. How many times have we really seen bitcoin died? NADA. But you have to admire those paid schills around, how ironic because I'm sure that they are holding more bitcoins stash somewhere. LOL. For bitcoin to be dead, this forum should died as well. Do you think that investors will just pull out their money from the ecosystem and shift it to other investment like stocks on the altcoin market? Those fools keeps barking, but the more they shout the more people are laughing at them. We still up like more than 10% year-to-year. So the likelihood that bitcoin is going away is 0.

Why not just say the whole cryptocurrencies or in fact, the idea of blockchain will die in 2018, since you apparently will be the one killing them. I guess we may have to revisit your thread in 2019 and tell you how wrong you ended up or probably even give you a chance by adding extra years before revisiting. You should check back on the forum to see how many threads have been opened to declare bitcoin dead since early years. You are not the first bro.

i think its same question in 2014 2015 when price at $900+ drop to $300 .
but its not the end . otherwise its the opposite . bitcoin still going up . maybe $15k its high enough for bitcoin for this year . but i believe bitcoin had potential more than current price right know.

I think it's too early to panic. Even if the price of Bitcoin continues to decline, this will not be death. We will simply see a lower price.  Huh

You are being harsh yonton.  Roll Eyes

Most of the panickers are the newbies, they never experienced on how it feels when crypto market is getting through a correction.

A simple few words, not everything is permament. So btc's pump isn't permanent and as well it's dump.

Every year there is someone saying "btc will be dead" or even just a small fall of price, they will say btc is dying. How it would happen, we're still at 5-digit price and that is still considerably high eventhough it decrease more than $5k since all time high. Btc won't going to die even in 2030.
