My friend is offering me his brand new D3 Asic ( five of them ) for USD 2200. I do have a space for mining ready, but I'm not sure if that is worth it.

If it's used, will it perform worse? and how much?

Thanks in advance

$2200 is way to much. He's not your friend (trying to rip you off). Brand new D3s were sold at $1500. Single miner is making cca $9 daily at the moment.
Tell your "friend" to f*ck off.
