If this year continues to erupt, this trend will continue.  When the number of people entering the encrypted money, market is increasing. I think that the important year for bitcoin will not be 2018, but 2020. In 2020 there will be a halving of the award for the block. During 2018 year bitcoin can update its minimum price (5-6k). I think its really can happend.

2018 will be a growing year for the Crypto market. Because there are so many altcoins born, they compete so much with Bitcoin. Although the market is growing, I think Bitcoin prices will not increase, because of the volume of traffic going through other Altcoins. Bitcoin is not the only digital coin in the world.

What's going to happen in 2018? My expectation would be stabilizing in $10K range. Let's have a nonvolatile year after a crazy ride in 2017 and let me accumulate more Bitcoin before the next moon ride I would be fine if 2018 would just be another 2014.

In this year, I think bitcoin will recover from the huge drop which happened in December 2017 and go higher. I think it might take around 7-8 months more for bitcoin to cross it's previous milestone i.e. 20,000 USD. This surely might be a very crucial  year(not the most though, I think) as some people who were new to cryptos and lost their money in the drop and quicksold their btc would believe in bitcoins again if it recovers and crosses it's previous value, also if it doesn't they might lose their hopes on cryptos and never invest again.

I believe yes this year is a crucial year for bitcoin because of the rapid price dropping that happen on the first 2 months of the year and it is unexpected. I think so, because of the dramatic increase in bitcoin by the end of 2017, I am waiting for the bitcoin boom in 2018, and if the bitcoin is really capable, it will increase. This year will be definitely one of the most interesting for crypto industry. It is more common to see random people talking with each other about cryptocurrencies. I think that because of last year's cryptocurrencies popularity sudden growth. I have no idea why they became so extremely popular? Is it because people noticed that GPU mining is profitable and started to mine on their computers? If they wanted to sell what they had mined, they had to hear about Bitcoin and study a bit about it. Seeing how the year has gone so far I don't think it will be the most crucial year, I actually think it might be a slow one. I think a very crucial year was 2017 as it showed the potential BTC and cryptocurrencies in general have. Going from 1K to almost 20K was massive for BTC, and sure it has dipped again (or corrected), but you know the possibilities for those bullish runs and prices are there. So even if this year remains slow (though no one can predict what will happen), I still think it is a good investment for the long term.
