Is 2018 the most crucial year for bitcoin?

in 2018 bitcoin slightly reduced because of the many news that make panic selling. which makes the bitcoin broken. I think by the end of 2018 it will get better, with so many requests.
hopefully.

People were expecting that bitcoin price will too much increase in 2018, but up to no nothing is proved as correct, bitcoin price creases about 14000$ that is a big decrease in bitcoin price. But still most of the investors are too confident about bitcoin price that at the end of 2018 the bitcoin price will very soon recover and will continue increasing because still people want to invest money in bitcoin.

I think 2018 will be a year of consolidation.
After the 2017 exceptional bull run, I think it's normal to have a longer period of retracement like this.
I don't see new ATH's before 2019.
Don't forget that in 2017 a lot of new money came in from new investors that bought the top.
These new investors lost a lot of money and confidence. It will take a while to recover.
I do believe that eventually prices wil reach new ATH's, just not in the very short term.

I think that the important year for bitcoin will not be 2018, but 2020. In 2020 there will be a halving of the award for the block. Started last year will continue with a new force in 2018.

Yes, it because 2017 is the year where the major of the population around the world who only know the name of Bitcoin but they perfectly don't know what is it for. Then, people start to learn what exactly Bitcoin is and how useful is it, and then they decided to buy Bitcoin more and more. While in 2018, the major population of any country learns about trading which is mainly traded with Bitcoin and has an insane amount of volume of it. Also, they know that they can even make a profit by trading it on a coin or token! Due to that, it will make Bitcoin price won't change that high as 2017. I bet Bitcoin couldn't afford new ATH this year or it if even does, it can just increase slightly above the previous ATH.

I think end of the last year, was crazy for crypto market. This current market is normal and consistent I think. Dropping radically is not good but also going up rapidly is not good.
