Well is always difficult to speculate bitcoin, but base on what we witness last year 2017 I think bitcoin will have a great future this year 2018. And since bitcoin was able to sustain it price in this most difficult time which witness the Christmas and new year celebration where people sell they bitcoin in other to settle financial needs and enjoy with family, bitcoin price has not get as low as $10,000 this year so the future is bright for bitcoin. Bitcoin may rise up to $30000 by the middle of this year.

I am not really hopeful about the price rise anymore, and all I see is that the bitcoin as well as other crypto market is settling down a bit, all what can happen is another headline news which causes bitcoin demands to increase subsequently increases the price of bitcoin to an ultra level again and hence break its all record and then reach the 30k dollar mark, but till then I see bitcoin less volatile. Well that’s only my opinion.

I believe every year is crucial despite volatility because it is valuable and profitable. However, it's volatility is very unpredictable and uncontrollable, that makes us to worry and panic. 2017 as said saw a great deal of interest and accumulation in the price.  I think 2018 is an revision year, a time for digesting gains.  Sounds boring but the advances come partially from work and consolidation that occurs in these less rapid areas.    The genuine growth in demand and development will be taking place as it has in other years, 2017 also saw alot of unneeded speculation and pointless promotion beyond a genuine usage of BTC.

There'll be many hidden geniuses out there who can see a purpose for BTC network and where it is lacking in market use beyond speculation, really these are the people who really drive the long term price wherever that may be settled we do not know but it relies on this growth.
   Whales on exchanges are just making a big splash while these guys are beneath the waves changing the tides of global commerce which is always going to result in big changes and opportunties when the world notices

Yes that is a fact that although 2018 was not a good year for bitcoin in the sense that its price did not increased too much but we saw a very major decrease in bitcoin price but it is also a fact that in 2018 bitcoin became more popular, because more and more people get awareness about bitcoin and I am hopeful that now they will show good response about bitcoin and therefore bitcoin price will very soon start increasing and will even reach to its all time high price.
