if this is from govt/local authorities then we can do nothing
joining ico is a risk to take. someone should make kyc 3rd parties, we can store our detail data there, and only give our id to the ico company. while our data savely stored and not everyone can read it

I agree with the author of the topic. I've already seen reviews on the Internet about how another person's passport was attached to one person's account.
I know the projects Zeepin, experty.

in fact the request of kyc is quite an inverted request for this world. everyone who invests wants to stay anonymous. on the other hand, the project teams want to know the source of the money that came to them.
in some projects, many people have invested wasted due to the economic crisis, they could not get it

But it's even against the rules of the crypto currency, against all the point and sense of it. It's always about anonymous when we're mentioning crypto coins. Why else does we need a crypto currency? Nope, KYC is a weird crusade against the whole crypto world.

No one should participate in GLADIUS! They demand kyc for even bounty hunter and they are refusing to pay those that have worked for the success of it's ICO for many months
Asking for kyc from cryptocurrency community is dangerous because it will not end well giving your personal detail out. It could lead to death!

If you dont want to do KYC, you dont get into new ICO thats all.  You can carry on using established cryptocurrencies.

The reason they do this is their bank will want to see the source of funds and that they've done KYC.  Now technically its not needed for smaller amounts (under 5k in EU i believe) but its simply easier for them to apply to all, ensure they are safe from having their bank accounts frozen due to non-compliance.

Why do you want to take a stand against KYC? Do you want scammers to continue existing in the crypto world? There will always be the dilemma between scammers and governments. I prefer the latter.

These companies are only doing KYC because they are required by law to do it in their operating jurisdictions. I don't think any of these companies want to, it's just want they need to do to keep large investors and regulators happy.

The truth is that no one needs your passport or ID card. For any serious transaction you need to verify your identity in person. If anyone will try to lend a huge amount of money on your passport then in case of scammer's success the bank will drop all the charges against you and the issue will be investigated by the police. If  you didn't used your ID to make a transaction then the law is at your side.
The another thing is that the price of the "full KYC verification pack" in the deep web is from 10 to 50 USD and it includes all pics of the passport woth a picture of the owner holding it near his face. The truth is that your ID pics literally worth nothing. Just count how many people ever dealed with your documents: bank, university, all government services, employer and many other people. Damn if anyone gave 5$ to the guy that works in the department that issue passports then he would probably already have a couple lambos.

Pretty much it. KYC is the first step to regulation and mass adoption, it's unstoppable. Nobody can do much damage with your ID only these days, don't worry.

That's why KYC and full exposure should be applied to project developers.
And it's pretty useless to apply KYC to just buyers since they are affecting nothing.
