 Huh

Wow, I just wanted to purchase a few bitcoins to do a little shopping and now I have plunged myself into the bitcoin world. This is what has probably happened to many of us. Now it seems, time is required to complete my journey towards my goal. I have already made so many mistakes along the way......Hopefully my trial by fire will end in the knowledge of how to navigate these waters. Anyone else feeling this way?

It seems holding onto BitCoins at the moment is the way to make cash.  You can always buy more tho, what exchange did you use?

It is confusing just getting into it, I agree.  I did, however, do enough research to learn that paypal just wasn't the way to go  Grin.  Now, I have myself a brand new dwolla account as well as a couple others...

I have visited the bitcoin faucet (and if you haven't done that, it is the easiest of easy money... but just a lil bit).  It is essentially someone just giving you money without even asking for it, really.

I have researched and found that you can buy bitcoins with Linden Dollars...  if you happen to have Linden Dollars... which I don't.  I was kicking the idea around of buying said Lindens to xfer to bitcoins, but that would be expensive.  I think I am going to go the route of MtGox to get mine... eventually.

(donations are always accepted, though Wink )

The 'silk road' is not what is peaking my interest so much as the decline of the US dollar.  I am really hoping that bitcoins will be a good investment for the future, and hoping that the whole world adopts this new currency - sooner than later, of course.

Good luck in your BC journey!

My interest ranges all over the place. I must admit this journey has made me somewhat addicted to the whole concept. I continue to learn and

read and hopefully I will get there. I have a paranormal team and a website, and I wonder how I can incorporate the two. We are just trying to

make it. You can check us out at deathandrosesparanormal.com. The first video is our project, our sizzle reel.

Enjoy!!!

Resurrecting dead thread cause I am stuck in newbie jail for another 2 hours...

Does anybody remember Ubitex? It was supposed to be a platform for people to find local people to exchange bitcoins for cash. Wonder what happened to the guy building it?

Never heard of Ubitex but something like it does sound like it could be use full. I have considered setting up a local exchange here. I just do not know the demand. I noticed you registered over 2 months ago. Why so long to get out of jail?  Smiley

I registerred, but didn't spend much time logged in then. I have since been reading things on the forum, but since I was not logged in it never took me out of newbie mode.
